Girls, Have you ever seen someone act creepy or overly flirty toward one person, but totally normal around others? Why do you think they act that?

I've seen examples where people who know their behavior is creepy still go ahead and do it — and only to specific people. For example, Jenny McCarthy groped Justin Bieber on stage and said it was "creepy" but "fun," yet in her 20s, she was creeped on by Steven Seagal. Or Amy Adams making Henry Cavill visibly uncomfortable during an interview by complimenting him again and again, even admitting, "I know it's creepy. I'm shameless."

So I’m asking:

Why are some people selectively creepy only to certain people but not others?

Why do they feel confident doing it — even when they admit it’s creepy — and still not feel embarrassed or awkward?

What makes a person a target for that kind of behavior? Is it about confidence, body language, attractiveness, or something else?

I’d really like to understand the psychology and social signals behind it — not just calling it bad behavior, but why it happens unevenly.

I do not have a clue who all those people you mention are but definitely, it is not correct to stalk in a way people by being obnoxious or creepy towards them. If those people recognize themselves that they are acting wrong, then why do they even do it?

That would indicate that they have some kind of a psychological or mental issue that makes them do things they know are wrong and yet, they don't want to control those behaviors even if they can and have the ability to.

Showing a lack of respect towards others is also a sign of a bad education, lack of self-discipline and self-respect. They do to others what they don't want others to do to them. That is not really the sign of a great personality and character.

I can understand that one is perhaps flirting with a person but not systematically being a creep with others. That is beyond any normal behavior and should probably be addressed by a psychologist.

It someone is being overly flirty to one person and not others it means exactly what you'd expect it to mean. They like one person and have targeted them and flirt with them and don't pay attention to others. I'm honestly not sure what is so hard to figure out. This is typical. They act normal to people they aren't interested in and send signals via flirting to those they are interested in. That's how flirting works. Now whether it is considered creepy is up to the person they are pursuing. Maybe they don't have the same feelings and get creeper out by overly aggressive flirting and just hope that it stops. Either way I wouldn't worry about it unless it is happening to you. You give celeb examples which have no bearing on your life so I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about the psychology behind it. Celebs are weirdos in general

They usually have a strong attraction or even an infatuation with that specific person. This leads them to behave in ways that are intense, inappropriate, or make the other person uncomfortable.

If it's purely about physical attractiveness in the case of Jenny McCarthy and Amy Adams, then why don't they act creepy toward people who are more attractive than Justin Bieber and Henry Cavill?
