It can be from a lot of things but I think worst case get them checked and make sure they aren't cancerous and if they aren't then I don't think there should be an issue.

Vitamin D deficiency is a possible reason. Honestly, there are thousands of possible reasons. Talk to your doctor. I know they aren't cheap, but they are good at what they do.
