When a woman talks a man may take it more literal then what she’s meaning. As where a woman may try to read between the lines too much when the man said something more straightforward

Some people think men are more literal as women are more figurative sometimes.

Because in general we are wired differently. Example: When a lady speaks about a problem in her life, she usually wants the guy to hear her not try to solve the issue. When a guy hears about an issue, he usually wants to solve it. Another: women tend to be more intuitive, so when she gives a hint she usually expects the guy to "get it." The guy, being more literal, usually fails to understand why she is upset that he did not understand when she gave such clear hints (in her mind) to him.

I Lots of people tend to say that I have a tendency to overthink, analyse things and get a bit too deep.


But I’m afraid to say that I have also met a lot of women who are similar to me.

Because we're fucking stupid. Men or women? Both. Communicating is not hard even with different "styles". Have a baseline of respect and understanding, don't be an asshole and get on with it. Simple.

We communicate via language and language uses label to convey feelings and concepts.

I say "I have a headache" to you.

You have had headaches so you substitute in the discomfort you felt.

Female Friend: "I feel I have been used for sex". I would love to be used for sex so I don't get why she is unhappy. Doesn't make sense.

If I cross out sex and put in money, now I get why she is unhappy. I would be unhappy if I was used for money.

The problem is we're entirely similar in some ways but almost entirely dissimilar in other ways.

People don’t like being used but they put themselves into these situations because of short term gradificarion that leads to long term consequences and guilt.

Oh sure. More the point is men and women can both experience headaches so communications work well at that level. There are a whole lot of things where communication is precise and perfect.

Then there are areas where communications are not so good and there are often values underlying that. Sex and gender perspectives are often at the heart of it

The woman who felt used for sex presumably didn't feel that at the time. It might be morning after regret that she is really feeling.

It might be he hasn't rung to ask for more sex so clearly she is not valued as a good fuck. So she feels disappointment, which becomes regret which becomes a feeling of having been used.

Potentially there is a whole chain of emotional responses which might be summed up in a single phrase. I don't think it is surprising we don't communicate well at a gender level.
