Mmmm..🤔 I think most guys are used to fixing problems so much that they don't understand in many cases women just want them to listen to our problems rather than offer a solution or interfere. Just show understanding and emotional support to us and we'll be fine if we need you to try to fix our problems we'll ask. I get annoyed at times when all I wanted to hear was "That's rough. I'm here for you" but what I got was "Do this/try that" or "Let me handle this"

It sounds like women want men to be their emotional sponges so they can "vent" at them and to also be willing to BE like them and emote instead of follow men's tried and tested method of eons of exposure to stress and drama but being STOIC and self regulating their emotional existence.

We've all heard the toxic feminist trope that "once he showed weakness that was such an ick she lost respect for him" and the notion that women are always in their emotionals makes it highly likely a guy HAS to watch HOW he emotes as well as WHAT he emotes as she'll try to respond with a "fix" it for him which is probably the most likely reason for men to express.

Best tell her that you and your buddies do this so she doesn't have to be burdened by it if you want her to stick around.

I feel like men are less forgiving with people’s flaws. I remember a guy telling a female friend of his not to tutor lagging students in the classes because she complained about how tired she was at school and I remember when a guy told me to block a needy person who sent me more than one request for help because he thought the needy person deserved to be punished for their lack of effort to be a better person.
