More than likely the men you know or hang around w are just POS. I don’t know any men in my life where the husbands left their wife, including me. Neither have my brothers. As a matter of fact, myself including my two brothers were left by the women because they wanted to live their best life. They’re still single trying to find men who will take care of them as well as their other kids who they had when they were living their best life. We all ended up w our kids. No child support needed, unlike a lot of strong, independent women. So no men don’t always leave women for getting old. A lot of times it’s because women just got bored, or he was too good for them or a number of other things as to why women leave. Yes including being abuse, I won’t dismiss that. As much as you’d like to think every problem on this planet is men’s fault, it isn’t. A lot of women these days are just as bad as some men.

From my experience, it's typically when the woman loses the advantage in the relationship is when she decides to leave. Very few women age gracefully, which has nothing to do with looks, but more to do with how she perceives her purpose within the relationship. Which is why I'll never feel bad about a woman leaving again.

I don't think this is actually all that common. I've certainly not seen it, and I imagine in the cases that do exist is just an issue with the guy regarding maturity, etc. It's not an inherently male trait though.
