Dating a robotic, emotionless guy is annoying and frustrating. Ladies, do you agree...?

A lot of guys seem to think it's some goal to be totally robotic and nearly emotionally retarted. They act like it makes them more of a man if they conceal their feelings and put up a touch act. Well, let me tell you! That does not make you more of a man! That makes you a pain in the ass! To be honest, it's annoying and frustrating to have to teach someone how to love. I just feel like it's a waste of valuable time on Earth. What if one of us dies in a month and instead of enjoying a blissful relationship, most of it was spent trying to teach him how to love and reassure him that it's okay to surrender his heart!? :( It's like we spent most of our time in basic training when we could have been having something so passionate and impressive on so many levels! I absolutely cannot stand it when I am in a relationship or dating someone and they don't like to be affectionate or they don't know how to be romantic and loving. It's like 'wtf we might as well just be friends with the way you act!' Now that I come to think of it, there are females who are like this too. Lets not just forget them! It's not just a guy thing.

What do you think? Have you ever dealt with a guy like this before? How did it make you feel? How did you deal with it? Guys, if you've dealt with an emotionless, robotic female, what was the experience like for you?

I know it is frustrating as I am one of those people, but trust me when I say this, you can do something about it. Chances are, he had suffered through a lot of emotional trauma. It takes a long time but encourage him to open up to you and never put him down for anything he tells you, otherwise, he will never do it again. I had a girlfriend who was just as understanding and I inched my way out of my shell more and more. She cried when I told her about my physically and emotionally abusive mother and hugged me and said that she would be happy to be a better mother to me than mine ever was. That was when I experienced the feeling of being loved for the first time ever and it was powerful. I never fully recovered from it but I was able to make her laugh, make her feel safe and made a lot of special memories for her. However, I always feared of her leaving me because I know that if she did, I wouldn’t have any choice but to revert back to who I was I think that was what drove her away despite never really giving me a clear answer as to why. That breakup definitely caused all of the awakened emotions to be silenced again. Sorry for the long reply.

Well one of my exes were like this, she would refuse to hold hands or kiss in public, so something spontaneous was out of the question, and for so long she could not grasp the idea of flirting or initiating a time when we would have sex, it was either when we went to bed and wasn't tired or not at all, and to shower together would be a sin as my dirty water could splash on to her, so yeah, I will agree with your statement, because I was someone who was very open and wanted these emotions around, but with her it was not happening, so to say the least, I am no longer with her and she is still on her own, go figure lol,x

Yeah but there's trying to help and there's ignoring they don't want or think they need help, which is the time to leave. I wish I left her sorry ass a long time before, because I was really missing me but didn't realize it until I left, so don't get stuck with a selfish bum with no intentions of changeing, don't ever surpress talent I say, and wasting valuable time on ignorance should be a sin lol,x

I know what you mean. Most guys seem to be like this. Don't waste your time trying to change them, though. Go find someone who isn't afraid to be affectionate. :)

I've met quite a few people like this...cant stand them. Too many people out there take themselves way too seriously. Not surprisingly they lack a real sense of humor too.
