Why do women prefer to be lied to vs hearing uncomfortable truths?

That’s not all women but people who generally like being lied to are liars themselves. Some people are narcissists and need others to affirm their delusions.

So it’s not that they like being “lied” to per say. But they want someone who affirms their own reality their delusions. Men who are narcissistic are the same way.

Some people live in a fantasy and need everyone else to affirm that fantasy. They don’t want to face reality.

This is everyone, not just women. What if your boss told you everything they thought about firing you, or you partner told you everything they thought about fucking someone else. There's just things that you shouldn't say to people I'd you have respect for their feelings

@anonymous If you're speaking of me specifically, I'm the Boss and I have numerous partners so I can't relate. As it relates to the question, are you saying women preferred to be lied to because they can't emotionally handle the truth?

I think you can relate. You weren't always a boss, and you probably had only one partner at some point in your life. And to your second question, it's very loaded. The implication is that all women are irrational. For instance, if you are saying that they are ugly and they are offended, that wouldn't be an example of them not being able to handle the truth. I would call that just being insensitive and rude. It would depend on what you are talking about specifically and whether or not it is objective, like in reference to finances.

@Opinion I did work for a company 20+ years ago. I've never been stuck w/ only one girl though. You're asking me a random hypothetical and my question is loaded? "All" isn't a pre-requisite for truth. All people aren't right handed but guns are made for right handed people. Also your example would be an example of them at handling the truth, if they're ugly and get offended vs improving then it validates that they prefer being lied to.
