Why do women lie to spare feelings?

Why won't they just tell me I'm ugly? Why lie and say "your cute" or you're not very attractive but you're not unattractive?

Because when women openly reject a man who chooses to take it poorly, there’s a very real chance that woman might die. I’m not saying this is you, but it’s what women learn when interacting with men. It’s a survival mechanism that becomes a force of habit

I would just prefer they would be blunt and come out and say it. Not everyone is physically attractive, nor does it always matter. It seems to matter more now than it used to due to social media and dating apps
