Because most women do not even like men anymore. They view men as an "accesory" like a pair of shoes. They see him as means to what they view as a complete life. And that life is far from the established gender roles for women for the past 2000 years. She DOESN'T WANT EQUALITY. That was the goal of Feminism but most of today's women today are not feminists and do not want equality. They want total control and the most fanatical (which are the minority) want to subjugate men. Those women straight up hate men.

you have to understand if a woman wants to appear elegant, she wants to do it for her and her alone. I mean she'll still do it to bait and manipulate men. But she doesn't want to do it because she thinks it's expected of her.

To put things simply the woman of today thinks it's a man's job to maintain his expected gender role (and she's right there!). The problem is she thinks she has no responsibility to maintain any part of woman's gender role unless she just wants to or feels it benefits her in some way. And then she is surprised that men stay away from her.🤦‍♂️

Today's women view men as having POWER over the past 2000 years. Where women make there mistake is they never view the whole picture. They only view what affects thier emotions. If they did look at the full picture they'd realize most men are just pawns in this world. We don't have power we have responsibility power is reserved for a select few at the top. Most of us are just in the trenches every day keeping the world on track. And this is why the avg. Woman is so angry today. Ms. Strong woman goes out and gets a full time job and thinks she should get all the power like a man has always had. Then she learns the reality that life of a man is not power. It's expectations and responsibility. But most of these women never accept this TRUTH. So they stay mad. Feeling erroneously that they were cheated. When the REALITY is that all they did was trade a life of protection of a man. To a life of work and responsibility. And if that makes her happy, more power to her, so be it. But most women it doesn't.

What do you consider "elegant?" If you mean formal dress, it's true that people dress much less formally now, even for events that people used to dress for like symphony and theater.
