Same thing, the only thing that would make me a bit sad is if he’s busy and didn’t offer a follow up. But I’m okay with messaging first, it’s definitely not a problem. But I would straight up mention I want to hang or hint that I want to hang out

I appreciate the perspective. This girl that I talk to, she initiates contact but I don't know if it's a green light to try and make plans. One time she texted me "wyd" and I responded "about to shower, wyd?" She didn't respond.

What I would suggest is next time when she asks and let’s say you’re about to show again you could say something like “about to shower, did you have any plans today?” And just based off of her answer then it’ll show you if she says yeah or you can tell that she doesn’t want to hang then you could respond with “well that’s cool, I was planning to go grab coffee” so it makes it less awkward for you and now it seems like your doing something, that you would’ve asked her to do

Damn I wish you were around before because I give the worst responses in text. a lot of the time I give literally answers and I don't push things forward. Sounds crazy but I expect if a girl wants to hang out she is gonna tell me
