What are a few reason women will fake talk on a phone?

Last week I asked a woman out she gave a maybe im busy and ill let you know when im free. (Its been heavily on my mind) We had been talking about little for a month at the gym and she had shared a lot of personal information I never asked, made me really supervised and confident with her. The day I ask her, she waited for me when I had to get my keys from the front desk. So I took a leap of fate and asked her out. Its been a week that I seen her and I purposely did not approach her because I figure to give her space and letting her take the next step. Then she left with her phone to her ear, noticing that was different. I take it as a non verbal rejection. Do I make her uncomfortable now? I dont know what im asking, just putting my thoughts out there and trying to understand a little.

That woman is probably the only person that will be able to give you a clear answer to your question. We have no idea what went on in her mind and if she did actually fake a phone conversation (which I doubt), then it is a clear sign to you that you should give her space and consider that the answer to your request for a date is no.

She probably felt insecure and indecisive. Your best option here is to forget about her and continue as usual without giving much attention to that lady.
