You’re not safe. It’s safe for women to express platonic physical intimacy with other women because the chances that it will be misconstrued as sexual intimacy are astronomically lower than attempting to do so with a man, who is frequently incapable of telling the difference. And if a man believes the physical intimacy is sexual intimacy, it means there’s a significant risk that you will assault/rape her because of this misunderstanding. This is not a slight against you as a person, it’s simply a learned defense mechanism that comes from society as we know it. Women can never completely, inherently trust men the same way they can other women.
