Depends…
A gal who was in a relationship for years and finally celebrates that she’s free will adjust her status to single and possible announce a girl’s night out to signal she’s now officially single. Another friend posted a meme of a hand with the tan line on her ring finger and nothing more. We all “liked” it and that was that.
If a gal is obnoxious about it and saying shit like SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE or anything that makes her sound thirsty … and she’s not coming out of a relationship… that’s just vulgar.
It depends on context and intention. Simply stating that someone is single isn’t inherently a red flag. For some people, it’s just transparency or a way of expressing a new chapter in life. It becomes a concern only if it’s paired with attention-seeking behavior, mixed signals, or inconsistency between words and actions. Like most things, maturity is shown not in the announcement itself, but in how someone carries themselves afterward.
You’re basically asking “is it a red flag for a single girl to let it be known in order to find another single person to be with”
Makes no sene why it would be
She’s single. Therefore can date who she likes. That’s how it works
Is she supposed to be single but off the market and isolate herself because of her ex? I don’t think so.
Breakups are messy that way. We all don’t want to see the other person dating right away. At least not before we do.
But that’s how it goes sometimes.
Everyone meets people. Especially women.
Well, any woman so obsessed with social media is a red flag.
Women also tend to just just into another man, probably sexually, instead of ever self reflecting and learning from the previous relationship or ever working on things within themselves to grow so they do not repeat past patterns. Often it is man A on Friday... straight to new man B on Saturday. They often never take time to learn and grow or work on themselves. They just add bodies and more baggage.

I wouldn’t say red , but definitely amber.
At the very least I would consider it attention fishing with the comments section no doubt filling up with her validation orbiters.
I consider also that it signals emotional turbulence no doubt with some man hating comments from those orbiters and her lapping up the validation.
Most of all though it would make me consider that it doesn’t align with characteristics I find attractive or even appealing. I wouldn’t consider dating a woman who feels the need to publicly advertise their relationship status
So while there ‘could’ be more benign reasons a woman would do this my reaction assuming I was also on the market would be to either steer clear or in the case were I was previously interested I would be very aware and sensitive to her conduct and reasons behind it
It depends on the reasons why she's doing that. She might be just doing it because she wants to date , so she's letting everybody know
Or she's doing it because she knows that her ex is going to read it, and she wants him to get jealous.
Or maybe she's doing it because she has another friend that reads her stuff, and she wants him to know that she's single now.
Or may\nBe she's just lonely and she knows by doing this that she will have lots of guys trying to send her messages
I learned years ago not to trust women who post about relationship status and/or romantic issues on social media.
It’s one thing if she once did this years ago when she was much younger (I regrettably did that many years ago). Or maybe posts something once a year or something that’s really generalized.
But any more that is a sign of big trouble.
I don't think it is. A lot of women are proud to be done with a relationship and want others to know they've moved on, including their ex, if he spies on her socials.
yeah, basically she’s saying “I’m single, you can dm me", pathetic af
The annoucement by it self isn't a red flag. She just wants to date and is letting everyone know she is available.
I know a lot of married people that post they are single on social media.
She's letting it be known she's single and not available
Red flag. Advertising = attention. She can get all the ego boosting validation from a guy and give nothing in return. She gets a whole bunch of simps chasing her
Don't forget, most women gear their social media towards their friends, real or perceived, not potential suitors.
Yellow flag.
Seems like it's indicating a lack of privacy/online maturity or a lack of a social life.
If she had a social life, she'd vent to her friends and look for her options in her social circle. If she's an isolated loner, she'd post it.
If she's one of those girls who acts like a middle schooler on social media, that would explain her posting it. Drama is fun to the immature.
It's possible there's another reason, but the above two are red flags.
No, cause male doesn't care that she becomes single, only if there is someone are started something before the break up like talking, meeting someone new or just old friend etc..
The fact that someone announces that they are single on social media is a red flag regardless of their gender. Also whoever does tis is implying that they are available to get hit on. Unecessary.
There is small chance that she a virgin, anyway what wrong with saying that you single?
Not necessarily, I guess it depends on her intentions.
I wouldn't consider it to be a red flag.
it's the power of advertising.
True, it's also a red flag if she has social media at all.
More like I wouldn't date someone who needs to check her social media more than once per day. If she's always got her phone in front of her face I'm just not interested
For the person or their ex?
it's a red flag being this cynical...
sounds like you need a life
@manonfire
only someone without a job, no girlfriend, no friends, never leave the house would feel the need to ask such a retarded question.
you can tell a lot about a person based on the questions they ask
@manonfire
sounds like you can't even afford a treadmill. haha
go get a job
@manonfire
you need a treadmill but you can't even afford one.

Depends on the woman.
I suppose it depends on the woman.
It could be.
