What are the little silly mistakes you make that end up making you laugh at yourself later?

We all have those harmless moments, walking into the wrong room with confidence, searching for something that’s already in our hand, waving back at someone who wasn’t waving at us, sending a message to the wrong person, or forgetting why we entered a room in the first place.

Small embarrassing moments, but somehow they become the funniest memories.


# Like me, sometimes I put my phone in the fridge while holding a drink, or talk to someone so confidently then realize they weren’t talking to me at all 😭.

I’ve also searched for my glasses while they were already on my face. 🙄🫣 I can’t even be mad, I just laugh at myself every time. 🤣

Bad, irresponsible decisions made when I was younger are ripe for this. Like when I tried to throw rocks over a roof at school and hit a window and got in a ton of trouble.

I managed to talk my way down from what would've been a worse punishment to two days in school suspension. Looking back, there's no rhyme or reason in what I did, it was just moronic and unacceptable behavior to not consider my actions and act on impulse. Which in this case, was wanting to figure out how to throw straight up from under the hand.

That's not the part that makes me laugh, it's what I did to keep my parents from finding out. I do have ADHD and impulses are definitely an area I fell behind to unacceptable levels, especially younger.

In the office, the principle asked for a number to call, this told me he both doesn't know their number because I circled "no thanks" in advisory class for in case of emergency contacts. He also wouldn't know my number, so I gave him my number so he'd send the voicemail to me and think it was done.

Then when I found out a written notice would also be sent, I then picked up the mail each day that week, and when I found it, I stuffed it in my bag and threw it out at school to complete my "little shit" behavior of stopping at nothing to hide my ridiculously moronic behavior.

At the same time, it's kinda funny to me how I managed to outmanuever them and keep my parents from knowing. The number thing is definitely the funny part for me. At the same time looking back, I was just trying to protect myself. I accepted the in school suspension as consequences but I wouldn't accept what my parents would've done.

My mother was no stranger to physically abusing me, neither was my brother and my father never liked me at all. Washing this up was not only a matter of avoidance but of personal safety. While yes, I feel shame for behaving this way, it did give me stories to tell. I'm thankful that it didn't go worse for me or for the school

I made a silly mistake recently asking a question on GAG's, well this isn't unusual.

I had been outside in the sunshine giving myself a suntan, I probably should have worn my sunglasses, but I didn't.

I had gone inside and found an article that I thought would be a good question on GAG's.

I wanted to send my question quickly, and my eyes hadn't re accustomed to the darker light when texting my question, and I misread the word for a group of people, and I texted bloomers instead of boomers.

I laughed when someone pointed out my mistake, because a bloomer is a goofy, foolish person, and I noticed this group of people hadn't answered my poll 🤣

If anyone could make an embarrassing stupid blunder in text, what better word could they choose than "bloomer".

I committed a big "bloomer" that day 🤣

Just yesterday, I was cleaning my vacuum cleaner filter. To remove it, I pull a small pin out, the pin actually locks the filter canister in place. When I was done cleaning it, I put it in the canister and put the canister in place but I couldn't find the pin! I looked everywhere! Under the furniture, in my pockets, I even looked in the garbage! I was getting pissed... I looked for over 30 min, then it dawned on me, there's a small cable that attaches the pin to the vacuum cleaner, so you don't lose it lol The problem is, it's hard to see it, because it's the same color as the vacuum cleaner. I'm gonna paint it orange!

I’m always laughing at myself. I forget where I put everything… I’m surprised I haven’t lost my mind yet haha.

The other day I tossed my keys in the trash so casually while I was cleaning up. And then I just stood there feeling silly…

I sold 85% of my shares in a company that over the last 16 years has cost me 150,000 in gains. Theoretically it was the right move. This company has just been a juggernaut and the stock has doubled every 5 years. Ask any expert and they would tell you what I did was the right move for diversification reasons... but DAMN man.😂

I still own almost a qtr. Million in stock of this company. But had I not sold 85% of that company I'd be sitting on a half a million. And this company still continues to perform like gangbusters. It's up over 40% this year alone.

Haha this is so relatable. I think everyone has those small silly moments where you feel embarrassed for a second, but later they become funny memories. I’ve definitely walked into a room and completely forgotten why I went there. Sometimes laughing at yourself is the best reaction.
