Is this girl subtly competing with me on purpose or am I overthinking it?

So the thing is - this girl my gut feeling is that she's a bit... I don't know. Like someone that I foresee there being drama with based on what I saw of her. Like i noticed she can be a bit catty sometimes I mentioned I liked to draw and paint but not as good with paint although I'm good with drawing. She said that she does both and has 'equal skill level,' and is good at both. The way she said it was odd like she's trying to put me down.

She had said we should meet etc. and asked which restaurant I'd like to go to I suggested a new one. In that too she was acting strange like she said oh I went to a branch of that but there's a new one (like I wouldn't know there's a new one?). I said bluntly: Yeah there are 8 locations of it. She said kk they have a lot etc.

I said since it's packed maybe we could decide closer to the date she said okay. We also had a backup option.

1 week later she posts a picture of instagram of her with another girl and the caption is, 'Happy I got to try the new restaurant etc.' and it's the same one. Also the person she went with is someone I know too.

She recently messages me with no mention of that restaurant or the backup option and says, 'there's a restaurant,' and posts a link.

Since I don't really know her I can't tell whether she's doing it deliberately or not but yeah I think it's kind of rude.

Ok first of all you need to not worry about anyone anytime look who care what people think or say they don't no you and when you get in your own head your and you creat your own drama that maybe never has happen

Look when you know exactly who you are you know what you're all about you love yourself that's all that matters that's all that matters in this world because those people are not going to be in your life forever they cause trouble their people come into your life just to cause trouble to make you think crazy things and you waste a bunch of time forget drama stay out of people's drama if they want to create drama left and live in it you love yourself that's all that matters


Just be the best person you can possibly be Then you don't have to worry about what anybody says about anything Especially if they don't know you If somebody wants to be in some kind of competition with you Let them be in their own competition You don't need to worry about stuff like that when you are you and you are free And you are happy And you love yourself Nothing else matters it all just comes straight out for me you glow But when you let people in And you get into their drama that holds you back That makes you start thinking different ways different things and there's a waste of time forget that crap


You need to be better than the person that is causing the chaos in the drama if that's what they want let them do it they'll do it all by themselves they'll be in it all themselves cuz you could care less I hope you understand what I'm trying to say I know what I'm trying to say LOL

I think you're overthinking her actions. It's fine to not want to hang out with her if you don't vibe with her, but to assume she is malicious in what she's doing doesn't seem right.

The thing is that i don't get is her words don't match her actions.

Like when she texted me about that restaurant yesterday it started off with a, "(link to restaurant) etc. Let me know what you think!"

So I'm like confused like her actions are saying one thing and her words are saying another.

But I also know that some people are like that where they'll say things performatively but their actions are where the real truth lies so I don't know

I just got a message from her lolol it was like something, "Hi, So sorry but I think I'm going to have to cancel on today's..." (I haven't checked the message yet).

I hadn't responded after yesterday about that restaurant thing as I wasn't sure what to make of it.

Now i wonder if even the fact that she's cancelling and making it look like it was her idea to cancel is a bit weird

Maybe like 2-3 months but haven't met her often although I interacted with her on message etc.

I remember once on a group with me, her and another girl, the other girl (who introduced me to her) brought up some random plan coordinating transport and see you tomorrow etc. and she responded alike see you tomorrow! <3

I was never told about this 'plan' and confused like why are they bringing it up in front of me why not just message each other privately there was literally only me and the two of them on that group.

So like bizarre behaviour like that

I don’t know girls behavior entirely but when somebody sends you a heart and they don’t know you that well it’s like they have an interest in you. You better find out if she’s that kind of girl.
