Is this girl trying to manipulate me or am I just confused?

A few weeks ago this girl started gaining attraction to me. After weeks and weeks: she would constant stare and me (sometimes looks away and sometimes stares), asks my friends where I am at when I'm busy, be nervous around me, her friend would giggle around me , always one of the first to click on my story and the biggest clue of all was my friends and I noticed that she looked me up and down and then blushed afterwards. Suddenly, she started avoiding me just in a day or so. Then she started going out with another boy, when she was talking to the boy she'd always be still looking at me even though I tried my best to avoid her (I've got to be honest I was quite taken aback by this). I asked her what was up and she replied with, "Do you like me or something?" Then I replied honestly that I was interested but she said that she was, "Just being friendly and doesn't view me in that way but she has someone else she views in that way." I then moved on, deleting all the texts. The next day I went back she kept trying to look at me whilst I ignored her in the corridors. I also posted a few stories on Instagram and she'd always be one of the first if not the first to see them. What is her problem?

Wow what a cluster fuck. This girl to me is playing games but at the same time.. TO ME she's interested in you and playing it off. But girl blew it when you said you're interested. What a dummy. Fr. How old is this girl like 21? That could explain it. she's showing all the signs of interest, trying to possibly make you jealous... looking at you when you're not looking. I mean I've been told just because there's attraction.. doesn't mean interest. I dont want to say this but I want you to move on from this chick so she can lose what she really wants

It's so strange! I was about to go up and hangout with her until one day Poof she disappears from the place near me so I don't see her there a lot anymore. But she shows all these signs but turns the tables around on me and says, "Do you like me or something?" I just don't understand what she wants and I'm ready to fully move on.

Worse of all she's still starring even though she 'rejected' me and doesn't 'view me in that way' even though she clearly looked me up and down and blushed.

Me either. You could ask her about her actions but she will most likely lie. So she's not worth it then. Lol sorry to laugh but this chick must be super young or something because its almost like she wants you to fight for her or something. A hard head will make a soft ass. she's gonna be so sorry lol

I feel maybe she's insecure in a way like she's feels not good enough maybe... I don't know why she's playing so hard to get

Hmm she never seemed to hangout with a boy until really recently. She always used to sit on the stairs with her friend (s) and look at me.

? You dont know what she does outside of school or wherever this is taking place

TBH all I see is her hanging out girls around school and on her Insta she has zero posts/stories with a boy. And the boy I saw her with goes to our school, I never see her hanging out with the boy, now she now waits at a spot in the corridor to stare at me. I really don't know why she would keep staring at me and following me if she rejected me. Wouldn't most girls try to avoid the boy they reject the next day?

And also I did try to talk to her many times. But she'd be looking down on her phone (maybe looking a bit nervous) then walk off.

It sounds like she's nervous. But then I see questions just like yours all the time asking why did they get rejected yet still get stares I've never found an answer to that

Sounds like it. Some women really don't want any guy. They just want as many guys as they can get wanting them.
