In the west, women can become filthy rich merely by marrying a wealthy man. If he’s wholly intolerable, she can still take it all away in divorce. Men typically have to work hard or be extremely brilliant to earn wealth. All women have to do is con one.
Fun fact: nine of the ten wealthiest women in the world gained their fortune through divorce. It doesn’t stretch the mind at all to imagine that some of them have never done an honest day’s work in their entire lifetime. They get all of the benefits with none of the sacrifice. That’s literally the feminist mantra.
I imagine many men would do the same. If you balk at that supposition, ask yourself the following question. Why do millions of people play the lottery? Because everyone wants to be rich, but nobody wants to work any harder for it than they have to. Women are privileged in that way. They don’t have to work for their wealth. They have created a society that hands them everything on a silver platter if they only know how to play the game.

There is more than one reason I think. One is, when you see a younger or attractive woman with an older or less attractive man, there could be reasons she likes him that have nothing to do with money or at least not directly. Looks matter to women but I think they matter more to men vs I think women put more emphasis on personality.

Second, if somebody can become rich, that may likely mean he has a strong personality or is very smart or a quick thinker, not always but often, so she might be drawn to that part of his personality specifically.

Third, women may like being w someone older because they are more mature and this may overlap with money but it might not be literally due to money.

Fourth and I think this is the answer you are really asking for, having money is better than not having money so, that stability or the opportunities it leads to may be a plus although I doubt it matters much in this case since she is also rich separately from him.

Vast majority of young people end up marrying other young people for a reason. Because people similar in maturity, life stages, life experiences tend to relate and connect better. Only those with a old man fetish or are traumatized tend to go for someone significantly older. Old men will treat you better not because they are more mature but because they don't have the plenty of options they once had when they were younger so they can't afford to play around like they used to. Thus, they can't afford to lose you.

Its the same reason they tend to be more left wing. Supporting a government nurturing it's people is a product of their own instinct to nurture.

Women tend to benefit more from collectivism. Men benefit more from individualism. People historically understood this, but egalitarian cultures don't want to admit this because it challenge's their ideological presumptions.

Define "attractive". Is it only about looks? Or is intelligence, financial success, status, and an interesting life full of unique experiences attractive at a level you can't comprehend? Maybe those men challenge women, even intimidate women, maybe they aren't easily controlled by a woman and demand respect. Maybe some women see more potential in a relationship with that guy than a car wash monkey who only wants to drink beer and fuck.

She came from a wealthy family but like Jakie Kennedy her father lost all their money, so Jakckie Kennedy was on the carousel trying to find a husband and turned many down until she got with JFK who was with her sister at the same time.
