Before any genius tries to chime in with "so are men" no, men aren't asking if they look fat, if this outfit looks good, their hair, women will talk to you about their personal insecurities every single day as if anybody cares.

It is also a form of insecurity to go to the gym to have a 6 pack, to look "good". Most of them will do it in order to pickup girls and to fornicate with them. They seldom do it for health purposes.

2 genders, 2 different ways to be self-absorbed. Which one is worse? Neither one is good since the ultimate goal is exactly the same.

Society puts a pressure on people, mainly in the US where society is so vain and superficial. This is not just limited to looks but in practically everything this society does. Just look at politics...
