Why are women satisfied with being the "other woman"?

This chick spent almost 14 years being a sidechick, basically buying this man. she's 40 now but with 2 adult kids from a previous relationship. He always rejected her for a relationship but wants sex. She was lying to everyone like they were engaged.

this other woman 40 with 4 kids had the same story and couldn’t get this man to pay bills. lied to everyone like they were engaged.

then this girl who 30 with no kids at the time. He been with her for many years. He married her but the side pieces knew but they were totally fine with it. he left them side pieces alone. He bought this girl a house and they staying together.

Personally I think it's about ego. These women they judge their own value by the caliber of man that they can attract. So they'd rather go after a man that's out of their league, is not interested in them, is married, is treating them badly. As long as he has some kind of status and they see him as desireable they will put up with it just so they can tell themselves that they're on the same level as him and he will one day chose them.

It's the same thing with women who stay single their whole life. They don't want to settle for a guy that actually wants them. Then they'd have to look into the "mirror" and see, this is the kind of guy that's on my level, maybe I'm not as special and amazing as I thought. It's easier to just live in delusion and tell yourself men are intimidated or the right guy just hasn't found you yet etc.

Of course there's als people with mental health issues and trauma but I think those are not the main reasons for this kind of behavior.

Often, this is a result of a woman who wants a man above her own "market value" - she thinks she's too good for the men on her level - and so she'd rather be the side chick of a higher-value man (not necessarily HIGH value man, just higher than she could get to commit to her) than be in a committed relationship with a man on her own level.

Some men do this too, but men get with gold-diggers because they are hot and younger, but of course, at the cost of a lot of their money.

the side chicks we can all understand their answer, they all aspired to be the wife.

the wife girl would probably have also been a side chick if he had not decided to settle. Those women are all the same including the now wife. They become fixated on a specific man and will remain there at all costs even if they are never chosen to be the wife with the hopes that maybe someday.

I honestly feel like most women are like this. They see other women as competition for men and will literally hold on to a no good man just because she doesn’t want another woman to have him.
I think the mindset comes from not having any type of identity outside of male attention. Women who have careers or have been single for long periods of time snap out of this, but women who have been in back to back relationships have not taken the time to actually discover who THEY are outside of the validation of a man.
And you know what, these women are very two faced and would happily take your man from you if they could so I don’t feel bad. They deserve no sympathy.

Different women have different goals and aspirations. Some are also told they’re not worthy of more than certain basic things so they just get used to counting themselves lucky for whatever it is they get in terms of attention. This leads to cheating scenarios, abusive scenarios and other very toxic situations where the woman isn’t respected by her man BECAUSE she doesn’t respect herself. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Women who grow up with positive (and consistently present) male and female role models aren’t satisfied with being “the other woman” because they know their value and are able to tell the difference between right and wrong. They can also discern a guy’s motives more easily than women who don’t have this influence in their lives.

It’s a twisted addiction to drama and fantasy. It’s about “challenge”.

These women end up enabling scumbag men while passing up decent men. Decent men see this and become disillusioned. I’ve definitely seen it more than once in my life.

I do believe these women have mental health and self esteem issues. But they need to own up to it because they are not “victims” to their own shitty choices. I’m actually part of a co-Ed recovery group that talks about this. I got my own issues and this group is helping me discover what’s triggered them. But still I am held accountable.

She has no self respect. It's no different than a guy who sticks with a woman who cheats on him repeatedly. Feelings are not rational. Whether you're a man or a woman once you have developed feelings for someone even if they're a bad match for you due to something like this. You will suspend logic and will make every excuse under the son to JUSTIFY the way you feel. But if you have self respect, you KNOW what level of respect you're do. And EQUAL COMMITMENT is one if them.

Even though I think this can happen to men or women. I do think women are more susceptible as they naturally tend to make a more of an emotionally bond to thier partners.

If you stick around for 14 years as the side chick, it's usually because you're getting something besides just the sex, like money, or free rent or something of value to you that you're willing to exchange sex for in order to get. She was foolish for not being taken care of financially to some extent.
