Do you mean after her divorce she dated a married guy? I do not know the details there, but after the divorce she was not in her best mental shape. She may have made poor choices in that situation.

In most of these cases, the man is well above the lifestyle or status level of the side chick, and so the side chick is usually hoping to replace the wife and get long-term access to those resources. In some cases, like Kennedy, where that's not likely, it's because he's got celebrity or he has influence that can raise her status.
