Why do some women generalise all older men as bad partners?

I had a few friends had bad experience with older men when they were young and now they think most older men are bad and project their trauma and experience onto everyone who's young in relationship with older men.

I find it ignorant and annoying.

It usually comes down to two things: bad personal experiences or seeing age-gap relationships where there was a toxic power dynamic. When people get hurt or see a pattern, it’s easy for them to project that onto an entire group. But generalising anyone based purely on age overlooks individual character—there are good and bad partners at every age.

Who knows. Societal pressures? Peer pressure? They ran into some really fucked up older men? They genuinely don't find older guys physically attractive? They feel intimidated around an older, wealthier, more accomplished person? Whatever the reason, in any given case, they are entitled to their opinions and their choices. it's not something I'm gonna worry about much.

Men do this to. Sometimes after bad experiences we (men and women) get cynical. Everybody wants love. Everybody wants it to be real. Nobody wants it to be transactional. But it hard for people to find someone they're drawn to that is also drawn to them equally. Some people unfortunately spend a lot of their life punishing partners for past relationships.
