Do women remember and think about their ex’s years later?

Years, decades, for the rest of her life. And don't take that personal. Women are human and have feelings. A woman can think about an old flame and still be 100% commited to you. a lot of women, GOOD women will think about an old flame while in a loving, commited relationship. And then feel bad about it. Because she doesn't want to have those feelings. But it IS completely natural. But there is a world of difference between mentally imagining something and physically acting on it. We're human beings not animals.

I have a lady friend that i had a close relationship with when i was younger. Life took us in other directions. We re-connected on facebook, but she is happily married. Our friendship was causing a rift in her marriage. As her husband (understandably) did like our connection. We're still friends so-to-speak, but we had to sever any correspondence to eacother for the good of her marriage. I know she still has, and will always have warm feelings for me. But it's just remnants of a previous life so to speak. She's and adult now, and so am i. And you can't indulge every feeling you might have as an adult. Because while the connection we had long ago was real, it was based in youth. And because she's still a friend and i want the best for her even if she tried to indulge those feelings I would shut it down. But like i say, i know she wouldn't do that anyhow. Because she a good woman, wife, and mother.

I am still friends with all my exes except one. I don't know why some people find it so difficult to remain friends with those they were once friends with. I guess 'civil' is just not in their personal dictionary.

It depends on the person. Some people move on completely, while others think about their ex from time to time.
