Why must you be so attention seeking and vindictive rather than just moving on? Why does she need to know or care about you doing well? When I get something flashy and new the last thing on my mind is going out of my way trying to show it off to a stupid ex. You’ll hate to hear it but if your ex has got you doing shit like this then she’s winning at this point, living rent free in your head and dictating your decisions without a single word.
We used to talk about it. It would be nice if her to know I really did get it in the end.
I love cars by the way. It has been a dream of mine to own one before 30. The heartbreak itself has also motivated me to focus on my dreams and make me happy
Okay, if it’s more of a friendly thing then that isn’t so bad. I thought you were just trying to show it off to be spiteful. Anyway, even if she finds out, it may not be enough incentive for her to contact you about it. She may not have any problem with you, but that doesn’t mean she’d want to risk reopening that door. It can rarely ever be as simple as “hey I saw you got that car you wanted, just wanted to say congrats” without that leading into further conversation. “Thanks, so Howve you been by the way?” That’s where it would surely lead. Probably better if not.
