You could make over $80-100 an hour:

a) Tuning pianos.

B) Working as a locksmith by helping people get into homes they accidentally locked themselves out of.

C) Cremating dead dogs when an owner's pet animal dies.

D) Modelling clothes for a clothing catalogue.

But average pay for those jobs is low, because you might only get one customer a week and you might have to drive over 50 minutes to meet your customer each time you work.

are you being mean? i make more than $100 an hour and given the opportunity, i would stay home if i had a kid because it’s not the same raising a child vs someone else raising them for you. and i would hate it if i were a child and my mom prioritized her work over time with me

Think about the difference of a child being raised by a mother who makes 80 per hr versus 18 dollars an hour.

Sure some kids get more time with mom but they will grow up to become nobodies and clean toilets at mcdonalds for 6 dollars an hour.

While other kids get to grow up go to prestigious universities and inherit houses and become surgeons

It's possible but the richer parents are, the more likely they will employ nannies.

The more money the parent makes, the more demanding the job usually is, therefore the less time and attention the parent will have for the child.

Anything that is good in life comes at a huge sacrifice

But if you want me to pick between the two... being raised by a good nanny and still see mom every night, being educated by the best, go on the best vacations is WAYY better than growing up under poverty with parents who can't afford to set me up for a good adult life.

I grew up poor. Poverty is traumatizing, no matter how great the parents are. You won't understand it till you go through it.

There is a reason why poverty tends to run through generations... because parents can't afford to set their kids up to find decent jobs. Rich people understand what it takes to be rich so they pass this wisdom onto their kids

And the end result is... comparing a hospital janitor who cleans poopy toilets for 8 dollars an hour compared to a surgeon who everyone looks up to, making 800 an hour

By this point, does it really matter that the janitor saw mom an extra 3 hours a day growing up?

The richer a parent is, the more likely they will employ nannies or babysitters. Because the role of a constant parenting is extremely demanding and hard. If you have ever taken care of kids, you will know they need constant attention, supervision which often leads to burnout. Rich people can hire babysitters and nannies so they can take a break from the child. So they come back feeling well rested, energetic, taken care of.

Poor parents can't afford to hire anyone to offload their stress and burn out. So there parents are usually exhausted, worn out, sick of their kids, irritated. It's not that they don't want to hire help. They just can't afford help
