It is threatening. Just like "nothing but teeth will be left" is a heated threat. But neither of the two necessarily plan killing, just causing severe pain. Even "n**" is not always racist. Black people say that all the time without hate.

Many men say shit like that for the bravado effect, but those who actually do something to their child's attacker rarely get convicted and if they are, the sentences are light.

On the other hand, you may have heard of the case where a woman stabbed her attacker in self-defense and had to plead guilty in order to avoid jail time?

It's different in the US when a female kills a member of the patriarchy, even if he's the abuser, attacker, repeating offender, than if a man kills that person. The color of your skin comes into play too.
