A guy who likes scented candles?

I'm a guy who likes scented candles. Not fanatically, but I do have a couple in my room which gives a pleasant atmosphere when I'm studying. I'm just wondering if it's something girls find kinda weird. I can't bring myself to ask a female friend...lol

I only started using them because their were a few lying around the house. I can't see myself buying one for myself! Most guys don't...

I tell you what, I'd rather have my room smell like a candle than...anything else that leaves a scent in my room.

Regarding the pleasant atmosphere for studying...Dude, whatever it takes to get that A!

I'm sure there are far weirder things / habits people use for studying. In fact, scent is a powerful tool for accurate memory, and I used it for studying all the time. While you're studying, you eat / drink something with a distinctive flavor (I used orange / grape soda). Then you eat / drink that same thing in class during the test (as long as you can get away with it, some classes specifically bar food and drink)

Weird?! No way - I love all those and burn incense too so my room smells good and I get the relaxing vibe I'm after in order to be able to study well, sleep well etc. I had this terrific candle in Parisian Musk and another that was Osaka Cherry Blossom- I must purchase more of those.

I don't see why they'd mind- I mean to say you'd be a real caricature if you only had this ultra-manly vibe to you and no depth or dare I say it- a modicum of femininity; we can only be macho for so long and under so many circumstances that it becomes redundant.

Not weird at all, I have two scented candles in my room as well, and I am quite fond of them. I am definitely getting more, especially since Christmas is coming so my favorite scents will be in abundance. I think they make a space more inviting and definitely help to make the space feel fresher.

It's unusual, but it's better than walking into a dirty, stinky room. If a girl were to have a problem with candles sitting in your room, then she's either highly sensitive to the aroma or just arrogant.

I wouldn't find it weird. But I do know a few people (myself included) who can't stand the smell of most scented candles, so you might be asked to open up a window.

I find they're too chemical smelling. Not to mention when some people don't air out their room, and just light a scented candle to cover up for the smell... that's the worst.

I love candles in my room. It's so relaxing if you're reading a book or something with a candle going. The perfect atmosphere to just read a book and just escape reality for a couple of hours.

It seems normal only and only if the scent is not girlie as in pink margarita scented ones or flower power. If it's a neutral scent like fresh linen or ocean spray then it's fine. Nothing wrong with wanting your room to smell nice.
