Do guys like candles as a present?

I was gonna custom design a candle and put pressed flowers on it and give it to a guy. I mean we all like stuff that smells nice right?

UPDATE: it’s for like a teacher and they helped through a few things so would a pretty candle be okay?

Depends on the guy. I have lots of candles. I've used them all my life. I've also made candles. I've never made scented candles, but I've bought a lot of them.

As far as the smell, that is personal also. I like scents like sandalwood, cherry, and stuff like that. But I find perfume smells to be sickening.

You know the guy. Just use your own judgement. Of course if it's not supposed to be a surprise, you can just ask him.

Does he play video games? I sometimes light candles for a more "immersive" game experience. I prefer playing in the dark, with just enough light to see the keyboard.

I once got a potted single flower for a teacher because some girls had got me into trouble for something they did and I was blamed for it.

UPDATE : Giving presents to a teacher is unusual, but at least now a candle makes sense. It's totally sexless and shows zero interest in him as a man, so in that respect it's a safe present.
