What to do if a girl keeps calling me annoying?

So I've been talking to this girl and although she seems to have fun and smile a lot, she keeps calling me annoying every chance she gets. If I ask her why is she being mean, she tells me because I'm annoying (she says this with a big smile on her face). No matter what I do, that's her answer. I help her with homework (we are classmates) and I've done other nice things and she won't even laugh at jokes (although she cracks up when some of my other female friends tease me). What should I do? Just leave her alone. The look on her face and smile tell me she is playing but her persistence tell me otherwise.

Ok, I did that already and then she said she was just teasing me. Granted, she keeps doing it anyway. I've called other people annoying and point out all their flaws and she tells me to stop being mean, but she can say whatever she wants about me, this hypocrisy kind of confuse me

Try to keep a distance(IMPORTANT).. Don't be mean or anything but don't be nice (as doing homeworks for her etc) either. Never be too available or hyper (as too talkative)... Make her fight to have you in her life

Well I just act normal! I've asked her if she find everything I do annoying, and she says yes. I try to be nice and she'll say "nice and annoying aren't synonyms". The thing is that there are people who everybody finds annoying, but she won't say anything to their face, she just acts nice. She smiles a lot at me when we talk and usually when she says I'm annoying she has a smile on her face but its the fact that she says it often that makes me believe I am bugging her

Well then, back off a bit. If she comes to you or decides to strike up a conversation then she probaly finds you cute or something along that line. However, no one likes to be bugged so you messing with her or even her finding you naturally annoying may be too much for her to commit to her liking you. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Best Wishes

dont talk to her anymore. sorry man, girls get bugged easily if you're overly friendly and talkative with them. meet another girl and give her space while getting to know her

Well, when I act like a jerk she gets upset and when I act normal she gets annoyed and when I'm quiet, she will start bugging me, so I'm out of ideas.

Well at this point your best bet would be to give her space. Not necessarily be quiet but just don't talk to her all the time. If it really actually is bugging her than that's a good thing right? It doesn't mean ignoring her. I personally think you still need to stay in touch but show her that there are other people out there that you can interact with and not just her.

I kinda figured that. I just wish she would stop bugging me, I don't want to be rude or anything but for somebody who doesn't like me, she sure keeps trying to get my attention, even though she says she doesn't like attention
