Having your lover die while you guys are still together and young.

Heartbreaks are not complete losses, but rather lessons. I have wished worse upon myself when heartbroken because I could not bear it. But in the end it taught me a valuable lesson on love, on people and that everything in life is transient, including love. After the slough of depression goes away, you realize the beautiful thing that you two had and you're glad it happened, rather than never happening at all. The end of things makes everything all the more beautiful, more ardent and more precious but humans have a hard time seeing that because of the suffering we endure.

Honestly? Absolutely nothing. I've never hurt worse in my life than heartbreaks. I've lost loved ones, friends... but there is nothing that compares and lasts like a broken heart.

Having a loved one die in your arm or having a sibling or your child die or having someone really close to you die. To this day, I've seen my dead grandma, two dead grandads and dead auntie. Hurt the worst with my auntie and grandma. was closest to them. They didn't even let me into the hospital room when my grandma was really badly ill. That hurt the most, not seeing her for the last time. I loved her so, so much. More than I have ever loved anyone else in this world.

Death of  a lives one and betrayal. Both are wounds that never completely heal. Like a physical deep wound they may heal on the surface but any hard impact on the same area with still hurt.

I would say death. But in a way they're the same thing. If they die they're gone, and if you break up .. They're usually gone too.
