Why do women go for the ripped muscle guys?

Ripped as very lean with muscles. Do women know that a lot of those guys are on roids and diuretics to achieve that look?

I know that there are a few people who can get that look naturally but most people are taking some type of supplement. Also there is the time and energy you have to put into getting that look which may not leave time for the relationship.

personally I'm not into the body builder look but a well toned body is very sexy something like a mesomorph but not too heavy...like this... link but not like this link firm and solid but not overly bulky that you can run your fingers over...sigh...i knw it's hard work for some men to maintain that look but I think it's only fair if a woman has to maintain a certain standard to please a particular type of man then it should be the same both ways. but if it is that you are in a situation where you girl doesn't like you the way you are I say find someone who will...i may like the muscle but I'm not about to force a guy to be what my imagination seeks

Honestly that doesn't matter at all to me. I actually think guys with a lot of muscle look really gross. I mean it's nice to see you take care of yourself and have a nice toned body but if you have like an 8pk abs and super bulgy bis/tries etc..I most likely would not even consider approaching you. there's a limit.

I didn't say I find muscles gross. I said I find guys with "a lot" as in too much muscles look gross and I'm not into that. You say "Even women" as If I don't know that. Why would someone not know that?

Yeah, but how does that even remotely apply to what I said? I mean I already stated that I like it when men look healthy and toned as opposed to the the body builder took. SO, I'm not at all grossed out by muscles. I, however, do not like it when a guy packs on muscles until his shoulders bury his head. That is what I don't like. Again, I do enjoy a healthy and toned looking body on anyone male or female.

There are different levels of body building... Not all look like roid monsters...

You are talking about trap muscles... Those muscles are strong... Some guys have big ones naturally. Mine are not that huge but I have bigger shoulders..

No, I'm talking about what I like and do not like. All I wanted to do was share my opinion which is displayed above and that's all it boils down too. Toned bodies I THINK (as in ME an individual with her own opinion) are nice and overly grown muscles are not so nice. Natural or not I simply do not like them, That's all I was trying to say. You can say what you want and disagree. I simply shared my thoughts on the matter.

Well they are really attractive and have masculine athletic bodies. I don't think all guys who look like that are on roids, but of course I wouldn't know. It's not necessary for a guy to look like that, a guy can still be attractive without looking ripped but it sure doesn't hurt

Even with roids, a good body takes f***loads of work and dedication. You have to be an idiot to not recognise that. You can't just shoot up and grow a 40" chest overnight.

Ultimately, humans, regardless of gender, are shallow. They are and always will be attracted to superficial things. Get over it and if you're jealous, try improving your body.

I know that it takes work but have you ever seen vids of people on roids lift light for a certain look but you can lift more than them and you do not get the same results? I am not jealous I find it a bit sad lol. It is like using aimbot in a videogame lol.

It's nothing like using an aimbot in a game. That takes 99% of the effort out of the experience.

Steroids take 0% effort away, they just create better results. And make impossible things, possible. You can lift the smallest weight, and still be bigger than people who lift more than you. Strength and size are only proportional if you train them to be so.

I saw a guy do skill crushers with 20s and his tris were bigger than mine when I was doing kick backs with 30s. Steroids speed up the recover time which can in return build muscle faster in a shorter period of time. But remember no Natty dude will ever be Mr. Olympia.

No sh*t, but roids still don't take away any effort. The juicers still kill themselves in the gym and eat about 8 meals a day. Think what you want but I still have respect for them, regardless of whether they shoot up or not.

I know that roids don't take away the effort lol. But also roided dudes tend to die 1st. Jack Lalanne lived well into his 90s had a good body. Arnold now and days looks like a train wreck lol. But all in the name of vanity lol.

I know not every person shoots up. Some are blessed with higher levels of testosterone than others which makes hitting that look/maintain easier than others. I have a cousin that lifts waaaaay more than me but I am a bit more cut up than him though.

Nope it is more of some women don't know what it takes to get that look. Some wish the ripped guy was their bfs/husbands. I saw a dating site talking about this once and the women jumped to snatch up the ripped guys but found out a lot of them were on roids and their relationships failed due to the guys spending time in the gym and having a drastic diet compared to their gfs diets. I found it to be interesting. A lot of the women were in for a rude awakening on what it took to maintain that.

I don't go for those guys. In fact my boyfriend has never been to the gym in his life and we are probably about the same in terms of strength haha. I think the type of girl you are talking about are the ones who go for looks before personality.

but girls generally like strong, well-muscled guys because of evolutionary benefits. Scientifically, girls are drawn to men who are healthy and strong enough to protect them. It was a survival benefit.
