Girlfriend freaked out when I touched her phone?

We've been together for almost a year. We're both 24. Last night, we had a bonfire on the beach and I left my phone in my pickup so I reached over to her phone to see what time it was. She freaked out! I've never seen her move so fast.. she literally snatched it out of my hands. I've NEVER snooped through her stuff because I've always trusted her. That whole incident pissed me off and has made me question our relationship. I've been 100% open with her from day one. In fact, she's gone through my phone dozens of times. What does she have to hide? I'm seriously considering breaking up with her.. I feel like she might be playing me.

I think it's too late to ask her about it. IF she was hiding something, she's probably already deleted it by now. I've never seen someones girlfriend or wife ever act that way, I guess that's what set off the alarms.

with me, when my friends touch my phone I don't react at all but I'd get really jumpy when a boyfriend would touch my phone. sometimes it is be because I'm hiding something from him. just calmly bring it up with her and ask her why she reacted that way (don't make it sound like you don't trust her and you're accusing her of hiding something that you have no physical evidence of. she might get really offended and it'll start a huge fight). she could lie which is why you should read her facial expressions and her body language.

Wow you are thinking about breaking up with her just because of this, without even talking to her about it first? That's pretty crazy. If you care about the relationship I would at least ask her about it, even if you think it's too late, you'll be able to see if she's hiding anything by how she reacts.

Some girls are just like that about their stuff. I will freak out on you if you touch my hair, face, phone or watch without my express permission an a promise that you will not mess with them in any way. It doesn't even matter that my phone has a password on it, my rules still stand! DO NOT TOUCH!

I do the same thing when people try to grab my phone, and I'm honestly not hiding anything. I guess it could just be like a privacy thing.

Confront her about it, and ask her why she acted that way. Other wise you will never be 100% sure.

Since you guys have been together for that long, I don't see why she had to freak out about something like that. Most probably she was hiding something. You should ask her why she acted the way she did.

sometimes I do that when I'm hiding something, or sometimes I do that because I get annoyed when my boyfriend touches my phone because it's just nosey!
