Girlfriend mad at me for not calling her?

Long story short: went out with friends who got drunk and got kicked out for fighting. As the only sober one there, had to take care of all of them.

My girlfriend was calling/texting me a lot as this was all happening telling me to call her and asking how I was. I didn't call her or answer her calls since I was occupied with helping my friends but I texted her that I was fine.

Now since this morning she's been giving me the silent treatment and is mad at me. I don't know why she would be mad since I didn't have an opportunity to exactly give her live updates or call her back. I said that I was sorry but she's still annoyed with me.

I understand where she's coming from but I did text her that I was fine. I don't think this is as big a deal as she's making it. What do you think?

Honestly, you're right. You told her you were fine already, the rest was simply additional and unnecessary nagging on her part. If you were straightforwardly explained the situation to her already and she's still angry, well then, just let her blow off some steam and wait it out. She'll come around.

She's being unreasonable you were helping others and you actually got in contact with her... what did she want from you? To leave your friends in the streets. She needs to get over it in my opinion as long as you clearly explained yourself I don't see the problem

She's just trying to guilt trip you. You said it yourself that you could not call her back since you were busy helping other people. She should be grateful that you even texted her at all.
