Do women like funny or serious men?

I was reading a book the other day and found something curious. It said that women are more attracted to serious men, the book compared serious to "james bond", saying that they smile but very little and are very quiet, implying that this is sexy and it's what women like. I on the other hand thought that women would like men to be funny and make them laugh, obviously not being "goofy" or over the top but definitely not serious.

What do think? If a guy walks in to the room, would you recognize a silent serious guy or a funny fun guy?

It's called being reserved. It doesn't mean you're not funny, it just means you don't feel the need to listen to your own voice all the time. Being confident, calm, cool, and collected is attractive to women. When you can sit back, and feel unthreated by those around you, you give off an heir of dominance and the idea that you know what others don't know. There's something hidden about you, a mystery unraveling, a challenge to pursue. Yeah, girls like that dark and mysterious strong man. I know, because I'm him. =P Just remember that when it's your time to shine, you better really be what you are representing. You have to be confident and funny, smart, have a depth of personality, a dominate masculinity, and be able to take control. Being shy is not the same thing. =)

I think physically they might be attracted to those serious looking men, but personality-wise women definitely like funny men.

I personally think that if a guy is funny it automatically makes him more attractive! The same thing with perfume, if he has a nice smell, he's automatically more attractive... But that is off topic!

If someone's funny you want to be around that person!

But he shouldn't joke about EVERYTHING. Especially not about a someone's look, body etc. That can hurt more than people think. For an example, there was a guy at the pool in fifth grade that told me that my belly button looked like a vagina. I got major complexes about it, haha! So don't say anything such.

why girls always like fun comedy package boy. humor can't guarantee you that he is lovable and honest but some funny guys can be seriously deceptive.

i like both together a guy who has a sence of humor but also can be very serious in the right time. but if a guy walked in I analize them and see if they are serious or goffy right away but it depends what type of room they are walking into and depends the situation

funny, but they have to know when to be serious and appropiate, can't start laughing at a funeral or cracking jokes about disabled people or something like that. But someone that has the ability to out a smile on your face

Thanks to the world being sexual harassment happy these days over the most innocuous of gestures from over sensitive interactions, men probably don't act funny and have to remain serious

serious guys come off like they have no personality or are mean/stuck up. I like guys who are easy going and easy to get to know.

Funny! It think that a guy who's for example a 4.5 can easily be a 6 if he's funny. It makes guys even more attractive for some reason.
