I don't know what she sees me as?

I'm at that stage where I don't know where I stand with this girl, we text quite a bit during the week, try to meet up at least once a week or if not we end up arranging to go to the same place if out with our different friend groups where we always end up making out and she's come home with me once. This has been for about 3 months now.

I've told her I really like her and she's said the same but I don't know what she's classing us as, it still seems to be in the just a hook up stage as it doesn't seem to be official between us (which is what I'd like).

A mutual friend jokes around saying that I'm spoken for and I thought I'd use this to get an idea, I told her and she just smiled and said trust him to say that, I got no positive or negative reaction from it. But I don't want to ask her straight out in case she finds it a little too forward

if it has been three months, its not a little to forward, not even forward at all. be honest with how you feel tell her you want to define the relationship , that you don't want just some fling with her and see how she reacts.. what do you have to lose, she already is sort of with you so its not like she is going to classify you in the friend zone.
