This girl is outgoing around everyone except me?

I really like this girl but the problem is that I'm shy. We are both 17 years old and I know her from high school and we have a lot of friends in common, we all hangout together sometimes. She never says hi or bye to me and always waits for me to say it. She is also shy around me but outgoing with everyone else, I don't know if it's because I'm really shy. We don't talk much because I am scared to initiate conversations with her and I don't want my friends to know I like her cause I think they do too. She always asks me if I find certain girls pretty at my new college or other little questions like that but our conversations never last really long. Also, when she talks to me, she has a really soft voice and I can barely hear her. I think she might like me too but I am not sure because a lot of guys try to flirt with her because she is really beautiful. Any help would be really appreciated :)

PS: I don't want to sound conceited but I think I am attractive and many girls liked me in the past but I am really shy and I am not the most confident guy out there either.

She likes you. I'm always really shy around guys I like, even though I'm generally pretty outgoing around everyone else.

It might seem like she's flirting with the other guys, but she's doing that on accident. She's afraid to talk to you, and is more comfortable talking other guys that she doesn't like. When I like a guy, I talk to his friends instead of him to try and get his attention. It's a bad habit because it sends the wrong message, but that's what I do.

Try and hang out with her in a group of friends, and get closer with her. Just join a conversation she's having with other people, and try and talk with her.

What the guy I like (who's also shy) did, was his friend stole my phone and then he put his number in it and I texted him. But don't always let her text you first. I texted him first for the first three days, and he responded, but then I decided to let him have the chance to text me first. He took a week to figure it out.

Don't always text her first either, though. Try and keep it balanced. Just relax, and treat her like like a friend.

Is there a way "I" could remedy that?
There's a girl that I really like, and she knows that I like her; as time went on, it got worst and worst, and now these days, she would walk away when I walk up to talk to her.
She never initiated convo in person or FB. If I suavely, make more physical contact with her, like brushing hair away from face, touch her arms or face, etc., would that help, do you think?

Cause if I can't communicate with her, then I can't flirt, or even have a "friendly" conversation.
I'm pretty desperate for help, cause I really want to move on.
