Does my boyfriend's cat hate me?

My boyfriend's cat is a real d***! Four days ago he pooped on my side of the bed and now today as I went upstairs to get ready for work, I come back down and when I look to sit down at my computer, there's poop on the couch were I was gonna sit and there was also poop outside of his litter box. What an a**hole! His litter box is perfectly clean. Why does he do this? Because he hates me?

I don't do anything to bother him. I give him his food and water. Yesterday I gave him some tuna as a treat and this is the thanks I get? I'd rather get a dead mouse then poop. But he doesn't go outside so that's what he leaves me.

Ok many people will probably say I'm nuts, but what I'm about to say is totally true. Dogs and cats and even some birds I've come across, like humans, get jealous. You're scorring all the attention from their master and to them it's not cool. Make sure your boyfriend and you give the cat plenty of play time and attention and love and care and I can guarantee that the pooping will stop..if not its just a stupid cat.

But seriously the jealousy thing is true. My brother and his wife bought a puppy and raised it like a child and treated it basically as their first born. That dog was spoilt. But then they had a real first born and the dog gets less attention. The dog glares at that baby all day (probably plotting its death) and growls when you give her attention rather than him.

That's true. My bf's dog gets extremely jealous when I go over at his place. She even pooped his bed once when I was there.

His cat is jealous, it doesn't matter how much attention your boyfriend still gives the cat, he see's your boyfriend giving you attention, which means...he has competition now. He is doing those things to get back at you. You don't have to provoke him, being with your boyfriend is all it takes.

It's amazing how complex a cat's personality can be, he's not stupid, but just the opposite. I have 2 cat's myself and they get mad at me if I'm gone all day and they constantly fight my my attention when I have company. A lot of the same stuff that happened to you, happened to me.

He's jealous and acting out, marking his territory and it will get worse. In the cats eyes you've takenthe love and attention away from him and this is nature way of letting the cat make it obvious its not happy. Your boyfriend has to maintain the level.of attention he gave to the cat before you. Something that smells of you should be left lying around for when you're not thrre. It makes no odds what you do for the cat cause its not your attention it wants-it wants you out, you're invading his space and are a threat to him.

Your boyfriend can't be giving him the same attention if he's spending time with you, its illogical. Either way the cats problem is you. You are in his territory, sharing his space, he sees your boyfriend giving you attention even eye contact is attention to animals

The cat just wants to feel special. Make him the special of the week.

His poop is telling you that he wants to end up as sechwan beef at the local Chinese restaurant.

The cat wants to get out and see what life is really like and knows by pooping on you will give him a change of life. Take him on a ride or leave the door open. Find a pretty box, put him asleep and ship him to a deserving family in Mexico. If baby wants to come home and makes it, then it was ment to be, if not it never loved you.

No kitty does not hate you, he just needs a change.

I would suggest you to take the poop and leave it in the litter box. In that way when it feels the need to poop, it will smell it at the litter box and use it instead of just pooping everywhere. Are you sure he normally poops in litter box with your bf? Some cats have problems in potty training, yes they need to be potty train just like a toddler!

He normally poops in the litter box even when I am there. The cat is 13.

the she's senile, do you know cat will be senile too? my cat was senile and it can be really funny sometimes! as if they tought they are kitten. basically one cat year is around 15 years of human age ;)

It's strange because we think of this has human emotions.

The cat just needs to get more used and comfortable to you.

It needs to know that you are here to stay and aren't going anywhere.

That can take some time, so be patient with the cat.

This is so funny that I have to give it 5 stars. When I had a cat she did get mad at me one time and when I woke up in the morning I found that there was cat piss all over my chest.

He has a big litter box and the other cat died. But he did that even when she was still around. We keep the litter box in the area where my rabbit and the washing machine is. Or it could just be stress. He has also been licking himself a lot because he has patches where his fur used to be. He also has asthma. So he's using an inhaler everyday. This cat has a lot of problems.
