When he comes she freaks out and hides until he goes. Sometimes she scrathes him and hides again. he seems annoyed. I cannot help thinking what if we start living together.. Will she be like that all the time?
Some animals just don’t like certain people for whatever reason , it could be the way he looks , the way he smells , does he have facial hair? It can be a lot of dumb reasons why your cat doesn’t like him. People tend to do, this shit as well to other people, basically judging a book by it’s cover So how did your cat act around other guys’? Your ex boyfriend or a friend etc? Some people think it’s a warning sign , whether it is or not , that’s up to you to decide, on what you want to believe. Me personally wouldn’t break up with a girl because my pet didn’t like her , but I would definitely try to figure out why my pet didn’t like her , before I made any final decisions. Don’t just assume the worst case scenario is all I am trying to say. If a girl broke up with me because her cat didn’t like me? , I’m sorry , but I would think she was a weirdo , and be thankful she dumped me for even thinking that way to begin with lol People that choose pets over people? Say need their heads checked out and to be put into a mental institution for evaluation. Don’t get me wrong , I have pets as well and l like my dog and cats , but I would never choose my pet over a person , unless trhat oerson , physically tried to harm me , then yes my German Shepherd or cat can gladly rip them a new asshole lol

If the cat only reacts like this with this boyfriend, then trust your cat... cats sense things that we humans can't. If it's other guys as well, your cat is probably being over-protective of you and its territory, and doesn't want anyone else in it.
Perhaps a smell. Maybe he interacted with something that sets off the cat. His energy can also be a factor. I don't know about your pets but mine like it quiet and if some person is anything but that, he'll bounce. But perhaps animals can sense something that we as people can't or ignore. In that case, he might not be the right person. I hope I'm wrong.
Give your cat priority.
She was already with you before he came.
Female felines are very friendly and forgiving but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
She senses danger in him.
She stays.
He goes.

Ah, the classic tale of love and... claws! Navigating the love triangle between you, your fluffball, and your beau sounds like a spicy rom-com in the making. First off, animals are quite the judges of character, but they can also be thrown off by new scents, sounds, or just the sheer novelty of a new person invading their turf (and your heart). Before you start panicking about a fur-filled feud under your shared roof, let's play matchmaker for your beau and your kitty.
Encourage your boyfriend to win over her feline heart with treats, play sessions, or calming gestures. His annoyance might just be adding fuel to the fire, so switching to a more gentle, patient approach could make all the difference. Also, giving them space to slowly get used to each other's presence could help ease the tension. And hey, if all else fails, seeking the advice of a cat behaviorist might just be your ticket to a harmonious love nest. Remember, love knows no bounds – not even with our whiskered friends!

When a cat shows dislike for a specific person, it can be challenging, but there are ways to help them get along better. Here are some tips you might find useful:
Give it Time: Cats need time to adjust to new people in their territory. Encourage gradual interactions without forcing them to be close.
Positive Associations: Have your boyfriend feed your cat or give treats. This can help your cat associate him with positive experiences.
Respect the Cat's Space: Ensure your boyfriend knows to respect your cat's space and not to force interaction. Let the cat approach him on its own terms.
Familiar Scents: Allow your cat to become familiar with your boyfriend's scent by giving the cat a piece of clothing he's worn to lie on or sniff.
Interactive Play: Encourage your boyfriend to engage in play with your cat using toys. This can be a good way for them to bond in a fun and stress-free manner.
Stay Calm: Cats can pick up on human emotions. If either you or your boyfriend are anxious or frustrated about the situation, the cat might sense it and become stressed as well.
Consult a Professional: If the situation doesn't improve or if the cat shows aggressive behavior, consider consulting a veterinarian or a professional animal behaviorist for personalized advice.
This might take time, but many cats can learn to accept and even enjoy the company of new people in their lives.
This guy is not good and the cat is trying to warn you
Cats know. Get rid of him 🤣
Run. Not even kidding pets are a very good way to tell if you are dealing with a good person or not. Both dogs and cats instinctively know if someone is good or not. It is generally based on smell and potentially some 6th sense. I have met super aggressive dogs that as soon as I walk up to them they calm down roll over and are showing their belly (submissive and trusting behavior). Now some animals just don't like other people at all but if your cat or dog doesn't do this with most people. Run and run immediately
Maybe your cat doesn't like the way he smells.
He could have the scent of other animals on him - like if he's been petting a 🐕 dog, 🐍 snake, etc.
Or the 🐈 cat just senses he is just not a nice person.
I'd keep the cat 😻 and get a nice new boyfriend.Cats are a great judge of true charter , this guy is simply no good , and the cat knows it , the reverse is true when cats are drawn to people , cats understand character , your cat is sending you are serious warning , get rid of him before all ends very badly and certainly don't even thing about moving in.
Trust your cats instincts , he is an invader.
This might sound counterintuitive, but try bringing more people into your home. Even if this doesn't improve your cat's overall socialization (though it should) it may take some of the pressure off your partner as the sole intruder into your cat's space.Break up with your boyfriend. He is not a good person. Cats can sense this. There is a difference between a cat simply not liking someone vs. actually seeing them as a threat.
A cat that simply avoids someone does not like them. A cat that is actively afraid of someone (when this is not like them) and attacking them is sensing evil intent.
Animals have this amazing sense in sensing danger etc... Maybe she's trying to give you a signal that this is Not the guy for you... Sorry.
Animals are fickle. Just get him to be kind to the cat, give it its favourite food, speak to it in a friendly tone, play with a cat toy with it, let it sit with him etc. The cat just sees your boyfriend as a scary intruder and needs to learn not to be afraid.
Tell him not to take the cat’s behaviour personally. Cats don’t see things the same.
I don’t agree with @Love Doctor Brad saying you should just evict the cat and that it can just do sex work to make ends meet until the cat finds a new home but, if you love the cat more than your boyfriend, find a new boyfriend. The cat is telling you something here.
Does he have a dog? Perhaps the scent is on his clothes. Or has he kicked the cat without you knowing?
Have him fill her food bowl everytime he visits and she might come to like him.I don't know... I've always felt that animals have a good sense of who's good and bad, but that's just a superstition I have.
Try actively having your cat get used to him and have him do things like feeding him.Find a new boyfriend. Cats (and domestic animals in general) can easily sense when a person isn't a good person, and they'll act accordingly.
Yes. I think so. The way I see it is you have 3 choices:-
1) Replace your cat
2) Replace your boyfriend
3) Have the cat trained by an animal psychologist.. Before anyone says it.. They do exist and can help!Maybe your cat has just good sixth sense. Cats can be envy but they don't hide in this case, they are just assholes towards people they feel envious. Piss in shoes... etc
Some pets do have a very good radar for if someone is good for you or not. But it might also be your cat is just trying to protect you from a "unknown" person.
Cats are pretty good judges of character. With the exception of one or two instances, a cat of mine nailed every other problematic persons character on first impressions.
He might hurt her when you aren't looking. Or your boyfriend is the antichrist and your cat can see it.
