Do guys cry/get sad after a breakup?

Ive always wondered if guys cry or are sad after a breakup?

It truly depends on the guy, and the relationship. If it was a meaningful relationship then most likely the guy will be upset. Even if he broke it off he may still be hurting. Just because guys put out the image that they are strong and don't get upset, we are all human. And losing someone who you have truly cared about is one of the most heart wrenching things to go through. (From experience, after a long relationship with a girl we both agreed it had stopped working, and we were better off breaking up. Even though I knew it was the right thing to do I still couldn't help but shed some tears.) A girlfriend becomes a best friend, normally a guy can talk to her about anything, so losing that is very emotional.

In general, guys tend to take a breakup better in the short-term, but worse in the long-term.

When a girl breaks up, she'll cry, talk to her friends and go hang out with the girls. The first few weeks are horrible. After a month or two, she'll be over it and move on.

When a guy breaks up, he'll seem fine. He'll celebrate his new freedom. Go for beers with his buds and check out other girls. Then after a few months, he'll notice that it's actually pretty damn hard for a guy to find a girl. He'll think about the ex, wonder if it was the right decision, and spend the next months to a year being sad about it.

i've seen many guys cry over relationships...

some do, some don't just like girls... and also depending on how serious it was to them. etc...

I've seen my sister's ex cry after a breakup. One guy I broke up with, didn't cry. He just got really mad and started throwing things around.

My ex did that too, although the weird thing was, was that he dumped me and then when he saw I wasn't really torn up about it then he got mad, it was really dumb. although he was jack-ass so yea
