Despite what the popular opinion says, it's true that data shows that women cheat more than men -- and not by just a little bit. It is strange how men usually get labelled as cheaters when in fact women have a higher chance of doing it.
Guys, you're all forgetting the most important thing. Nobody here on this site is a hot social person. Therefore, every one of them is likely to have cheating partners.
I think it's true. Like some others said, women have many more opportunities to cheat. And like any male cheater, women can get bored or feel vengeful and seek excitement/scandal or variety.
Self-report surveys are never an accurate measure when it comes to people. It has been seen time and time again that even under anonymity, people still want to appear as being socially desirable (do things that society approves of), even if it's in their own head. As a result, people lie on these surveys. I'm a psychology university student, this is something i've studied in-depth. There's no way you could ever find out by means of self-report (which is pretty much the only way you can find out) which gender cheats more.
Woman cheat because they are insecure, i know when i got rejected all i wanted to do was call my ex who has a gf and have sex with him...but i came to my senses and didn't cause i know i deserve better.
I don't have a clue. I have never cheated. I do believe that women are more enticed to cheat, definitely. We get hit way more than men could ever. But I also believe that men want to cheat more.
Men are biologically designed to seek out different partners to increase the gene pool, and it doesn't pay in nature - for human females at least, to sleep around, therefore generally; the urges for guys to seek out multiple partners will be greater and coupled with a much higher and constant drive for sex, made me think that we are more likely to than women.
I was heavily cheated on in my last relationship, but I was faithful to him the whole time. From my personal experience, men cheat more. :p He cheated constantly, and I never cheated once.
If you make a statement, it's YOUR responsibility to back up your convictions. Burden of proof lies with the one, who makes the claim. This is in both the legal and scientific fields.
Disclaimer: I have no opinion in regards to the cheating thing, as I've never looked into it. I'm just pointing out the fallacy in your argument.
yeah I saw that study too. it was on Steve Harvey a few days ago apparently a lot of women who do cheat have been cheated on in the past.and they feel like if they cheat they getting empowered

In my personal experience I have known of a lot more women than men who have cheated.
Regardless, I think the perception is that when there is any poor sexually related behavior the finger is most often pointed at men. In general, in our society men are seen and the perpetrators and women as the victims, which is unfair and not an accurate reflection of the facts
Are you kidding? Men, in general, have huge egos which will not allow them to ignore the smallest of suspicions of their women straying. If a guy has self-esteem issues, financial issues, or he is very dependent upon his woman to live, then, yeah, I can see that. Otherwise, good man, it's not happening.
I met many men who just stopped caring what their wife did, as long as it wasn't public knowledge) I met women having the same reaction about their men cheating too.
Those are likely examples of marriages of people who remain with their souse for reasons other than genuine love, such as for reasons I previously mentioned. A husband that loves his wife and has a connection with her is going to be all over that like white on rice.
You'd be astonished to know how many people are married but don't share all of their life. It can be for plain material reasons like you quote but it can also be because they consider there's something between them that's more important than sexual exclusivity.
Very true, but that's representative of the minority. Guys, for the most part, value sexual monogamy and are, on average, intolerant of their partner straying. When someone cheats, it's a sign that what is, or should I say, what was important between them, wasn't as important when the cheating took place. One is delusional or living in the past when he or she justifies staying with a cheater due to a "so called" strong bond that exists between them. The bond, the foundation, is GONE or, at least, has dwindled significantly if and when one cheats. C'mon now.

I would say women cheat more. The average woman has more opportunities to cheat, than the average male. The ease of it would easily put women over the top.

Just last Saturday I slept with my guy friend who has a girlfriend.
What Girls & Guys Said

From what I've seen women cheat slightly more often than men but they're better at hiding it. It's still not far off from a 50/50 split though.
I completely agree.
That's false, trust me.
Not from what I've seen. I haven't seen 1 person who could be considered hot in my city.
I speak from my experience, and I also live about an hour away from South Beach...so.
You realize lots of avis here are fakes?
And anyway, from my experience, cheaters exist in both genders. The main hurdle for society will be to simply get over the whole cheating stigma.
I agree sir.
Cheers :)

Women cheat more because more men are more willing to have sex with them than vice versa.
For most men, it takes more effort for them to get a woman.
I don't think anyone will ever be able to figure out because it's ot something that pople readily admit to.
No, actually, people will and have readily admit to cheating and other improprieties during studies under the condition of anonymity.

People cheat numbers might say one thing but both genders cheat so, that sucks.
Yes, yes, it really does.

I agree, women, in general, are more enticed to cheat.
Im not sure, if I had to pick one I think it would probably be men.
Elaborate?
Men are biologically designed to seek out different partners to increase the gene pool, and it doesn't pay in nature - for human females at least, to sleep around, therefore generally; the urges for guys to seek out multiple partners will be greater and coupled with a much higher and constant drive for sex, made me think that we are more likely to than women.
Great point!
I was heavily cheated on in my last relationship, but I was faithful to him the whole time. From my personal experience, men cheat more. :p He cheated constantly, and I never cheated once.
I bet you who he cheated on was a downgrade from you
That's sweet :)
Although I do agree, any girl willing to cheat with a taken guy is a downgrade from a loyal one. :p
Which studies? For every study that says one thing, there's going to be another study that says the opposite. Post links please
Google it. It's on the first page of the search. Do the research.

You can make a study or survey say what ever you want it to.
Indeed.
As for who cheats more in my opinion both equally.
How Bout Just NO ONE Cheats? is that too hard for eeveryone?
Apparently it is, based on the facts alone.
