Giving myTakes an Upgrade: Introducing myReviews!

Hey GAGers!

We would like to take this time to announce our newest feature which will impact myTakes! There will now be a new option that Editors and Influencers can use for their myTakes, known as myReview.

myReviews are ultimately a form of myTake. In a myReview, just like it sounds, the author can write about their review of a particular product, service, place, etc. It could be about a new beauty product, that latest gadget on the market, movies, books, anything! It can even be used for your reviews on restaurants, tourist areas, or dating apps! A myReview can be about anything you have tried and now want to give your feedback on for others to read and consider. It's all about giving a platform for everyone to learn about, rate, and discuss the things you use and experience every day.

Everyone tries new things at some point and many of us like reading about others' experiences before we spend money on it ourselves. There is value in reviews! If you tried something and want to share it with others, this is the perfect way. Your feedback could be positive or negative but it lets everyone know what you really think and who knows, maybe your opinion will sway others!

myReviews are marked with a blue/pink label on myTakes to indicate to the community that this is a review. The myReview label will show on the live feed, list pages, and the homepage.

Even though this option is only directly available for Editors and Influencers, if other members write a myTake that is a review of good quality, an admin can still convert it to a myReview by adding the label when we promote it!

So if you have something you've tried recently and want to share your thoughts with the world, now is the time! We are very excited to start reading your reviews and personal experiences! :)

Before 24 hours I got my Editor Badge.

When we ask our children to review something, it helps them build confidence because they can do it! This is also known as practice. A sports coach knows the value of practicing and reviewing old skills before introducing new ones. It builds that “I can do it” spirit. The same is true of teaching.

Sounds fun but can you please stop showing full page video ads in the app. It makes it useless to use cause every 2 minutes another 30 second video shows up.
I'm glad you got rid of so many dumb dating app ads but this is still is not good. What is wrong with just showing adds off to the side or in between the comments and question?

Now I just use the website on internet explorer.

I think l this is a great idea. I use Amazons review feature for practically everything I buy.

Decent idea, but why the shit would it only be able to be for editors and influencers? I don't see the point in that given it doesn't take an editor or influencer to use a product.

If you write a great review, then it will be promoted and upgraded to a myReview anyway! :D

Hi! You can reach those levels again by being active! And if you write a myReview as a regular member, an admin can still give the label to your myTakes when we promote it. :)

The message I received about it earlier said "experiences and products", if I'm not mistaken, so I really don't see why I wouldn't extend to books and movies.
