So with all the feminism stuff happening I thought "Hey, this doesn't seem right. I see girls doing all the same as guys and sometimes even doing more. Is any of this even true?". So I took to looking it up. I have found some videos that have answered my question and would like to share them with you. Yes, they are all the same university, but different people talking about them. So instead of bashing men for having it easy, Fighting for rights that are already fair, and just plain men hating, lets look at the facts.

Video #1: Being a boy in school

So, after watching the video, being a boy myself I highly agreed with the statements said. The schools are taking away all the stuff that boys need to be able to enjoy learning and are replacing it with things that make only girls enjoy learning. This easily explains why girls normally have better grades, read more, and and known as more inteligent. Having all these things taken out of schools is most likely what is making all boys not care anymore about school and explains why they find it extremely boring.

Video #2: Feminism v.s. Truth

This video starts off by saying " Women in the U.S. and Western Europe are the freest AND MOST liberated in human history. In many ways they are not merely doing as well as men, they are doing better.". She goes onto say that most of the statistics showing that woman being a victim, getting paid unfairly, and more are misleading and flat out WRONG.

Video #3: Feminism 2.0

This video is about how Feminism has completely changed over the years. Right now, Woman are kind of becoming just like men, even though they are bashing them.

Now, I know there are DEFINITELY going to be haters on this post about how this isn't true from people who "didn't need to watch the video because its fake" and from people who just disagree. I just hope that this clears some stuff up between women and men and so women stop fighting for something they already have and just are fighting for even more than guys (even though they already are better off). If you have made it this far and actually watched all the videos thank you for reading, I appoligize for my terrible writing skills, and hope u learned something and might teach others from it.

depends on what areas of life you are getting at, but my own personal opinion, the reason why i feel women have it easier in the career world, yes i know there are more opportunities for men, but the reason why i feel it's easier for women is because women are not judged on their job, occupation, career, finances, what they are doing with their lives or what they have done with their life to the extent men are.

So if a person lacks ambition, is not sure on what they want to do with their life, is working a dead-end job, not financially stable, your gonna be dealt with a very hard card in life if you are born a guy, it will lower your mating-market value a lot as a guy.

Women are mostly unwanted in workplaces because people see them as child-rearing time bombs. It they are are pregnant, they don't get hired, if they have young children, they don't get hired either, because "well, who will take care of the kids, then?" Women are still seen as incomplete if they do not have children, but when they do, they have to be the ones taking care of them, not their dads.

So yeah, women are really judged much more than men in workplaces, and the judging is often contradictory. That is not to say men are not judged, just that women are judged in a different way that affects them all around.

I'm so tired of people trying to turn everything into a pissing contest between men and women. I thinks it's hypocritical that so many men think feminists are only victimizing themselves, yet they then turn around to whine about how they have it soooo much harder.

We all have it hard, on many different levels in many different ways. Just because you have a penis or a vagina it doesn't automatically make your life easier, you might still go through personal hardships that few others have to go through.

I wish people would learn how to express themselves AND listen better. When you're talking about your issues, you don't have to bash the people who are not going through the same things you are. Are these videos from Prager University? A non-accredited school? That can offer no degrees or diplomas?
The first paragraph does nothing but destroy your credibility. The conclusions you jumped to make it obvious you have no real idea what most women want, think, or rally for.

1) Pretty much everyone goes through a struggle. Only the most sheltered and entitled person in the world doesn't have some difficult aspects in their life, and even then that's a stretch.
2) Not everything is fair. Point blank.

1st video reaction: Excellent video. Boys generally are too restless and have too much energy to sit, as expected, for 50 minutes and listen. (especially young children) Even I have trouble concentrating and not getting sleepy when I'm in a class that's nothing but a monologue for about an hour. It sucks. And steps should be taken to make education more individual. There are huge problems with the American school system. Both sexes suffer, and unfortunately boys suffer more than female students.

2nd video reaction: There absolutely are studies done in which men and women, entering the same exact job position, are offered different amounts of pay. This happens all the time. Also, there absolutely are societal pressures pushing most women in radically different career paths than men. Also, her 'this wage gap has to be untrue because...' scenario is wrong because if men are getting paid more then they are more highly valued as workers, so they are seen as worth the pay. Where as women are seen as less valuable or competent in certain positions so they are paid less and easier to get rid of.
As an American woman in college, I know how privileged I am. Men also know how privileged they are. It's not a competition. But one should be able to accept another person's hardships without thinking of themselves, just listen to the other person. Also, adding the word hysteria into a video against feminism is subtly sexist.

Video 3 opinion: Most women in college aren't looking for a husband or wanting to be a stay at home mom because THEY'RE IN COLLEGE! They are going to get an education and have a career outside of home. Women's bodies are their bodies. I don't want to have casual sex, but some people do, and that's ok. I identify as a feminist, and I still want a family. I want children and a husband.

video 1: thank you for understanding video 2: the ones that are paid more are most likely paid more because they have a degree and the woman they are competing against doesn't. They could also have been at the company for longer and they company likes how they work and wants them to stay. I only had time to watch the first video. However, after watching it, it's so true. I'm a highschool student and I have the privilege to attend two schools, a normal highschool and an advanced magnet career schools that also specializes in engineering, mechatronics, and design. We definitely do not have a "zero tolerance" policy, as my normal highschool does. The guys at the magnet school aren't punished for being boys. They are allowed to go outside during lunch periods and play football, they are allowed to goof around during appropriate times (to a certain extent of course), and when we aren't reading district/state required books, they are allowed to read what they want given that it is an actual book. And they actually read! Not one boy or girl has been suspended from my school in the 10 years it's been around. Granted, we don't have screw ups there, but there is a reason for that. They teach us that our freedom is a privilege and as long as we treat it like that, we can keep it. It's an effective policy and has definitely worked for our school. Boys will be boys, they realize that, they embrace it. The boys haven't abused the freedom at all. Being strict doesn't stop "bad behavior." I've seen it first hand at my normal highschool and at my boyfriends private, all boys Catholic school. Harsh restriction doesn't work.

Depends what aspects of life your talking about but I think women have it easier in ways and get a free pass in some areas. I know relationships and dating are easier for women because men are expected to do all the work and meeting women, approaching, making plans, etc. In many cases, men pay for the dates too. Also, employment wise , if someone is good looking , a male employer is probably more likely to hire an attractive woman over a man.

And ladies let's not forget that some of you manipulate us guys into all kinds of things with your beauty and pretty smile. I won't argue that there are some things we don't need to focus on nearly as much, but that phrasing definitely sounds dismissive to me. Things are getting more balanced, but that balance is just like, "these things are super shitty for men and these things are super shitty for women," as opposed to "Oh cool, women can stop fighting, we're done now."

If you want to point out specific problems that guys are having (like education, which I do feel concerned over), maybe structure the article so you focus on those and leave feminism out of it? Just a suggestion.

I've thought pretty hard about this issue for quite some time, and I can say that as a woman, I have it a lot easier.

I can get dates far more easily, because society expects guys to do all the work. I could probably sit back and wait for guys to approach me. I don't do that because I like taking matters into my own hands, but I could.

Thanks to affirmative action, I can get a job in fields like IT much more quickly, because women in IT are so rare. Keep in mind that these women often choose to not go into IT themselves, it's not like society is holding us back or anything. I never had anyone tell me that I shouldn't go into IT.

Well the first video I haven't experienced it like that. Maybe it's because American schools are shit. We had at recess that the teachers always joined with games like soccer and the girls were just left alone to stand in the corner to talk or something like that. Not that I mind though.
Beside the school thing which I don't agree with, the other videos are kinda true, but there are a lot of things left out of it and some things are exaggerated. Like women behave like men or something. I have never seen a girl catcalling a guy. I could ask every guy I know, but they've never seen it or maybe once in comparison with when I go to the city, I get catcalled at least 5 times, while I don't even dress proactively.
Other than those examples, it's not a bad take. The titel isn't very good though, because it doesn't give answer on the question or really has to do with the actual well-being of men and women.

Well, it might be true that it's hard to understand, but it's really bothersome. It's very intriguing and you don't feel very safe anymore somehow. Hard to explain. I just sometimes want to just get something from the supermarket in my big hoodie (so really not asking for it) without getting catcalled. That might be something we really can strive for.
Did you know. that catcalling also has a negative effect on women? Even if it's taken positively, the woman starts to objectify herself and others more. Making her more insecure about herself, because she will look if she's pretty enough instead of thinking about what kind of good things she can do. Of course men have it hard. Everyone does, it's just earth. The thing is every gender has their own problems that the other one doesn't understand. I suppose I kind of understand what you're saying about the school system, but not ALL girls are interested in most of the stuff school has to offer either. It said that most girls tend to be bigger readers, which is partly true. My sister and I love reading while my brother can't stand it. But still, I think most girls in general don't enjoy school either. And it also mentioned that it has to do with recess being taken away. For example, I'm a fighter, I like martial arts (MA), I liked getting into fights, I liked arguing (debating).
My mom put me in some MA schools, and gave me books about different arts at a young age. Through that, I learned discipline and structure and how to control myself. Without it, I would've landed myself in prison somehow.

Yes girls are starting to rank higher, because they often work harder and study more.

They take it more seriously, it's not sexism, it's girls fighting harder.
The video is sexist against girls, claiming we all like convey dovey romantic stories, and that is why we succeed, not because we work our asses off.

Should girls not also be able to be free and work off their energy by playing outside? Or is that something only for boys, while girls should just braid their hair inside all day.

I think you got it wrong. We know not all girls like it BUT most do which is why it makes it easier to girls and makes them WANT to try harder. we know that some girls are tom boys or just dont like it and they also want to play outside its just that boys need it more (not sexist its true. think of guys in ur school). Most of this stuff is just to make it equal to guys/girls who dont like those things to get to be equal with those who the stuff in school work completely for.

I have never attended a school, where only "girl" subjects were allowed to be written about. Boys aren't seen as "defective girls" but of course they are gonna get in more trouble, when they're are often the ones being loud and disturbing the whole class.

@Watermelonoma: I hate it too, but I have to remember that Canada is a country where we all have the right to free speech and peaceful assembly/protesting on public property. The grounds of U of T and Queen's Park are public property. That right goes for everyone including the radical feminists in this video. They're definitely pushing the envelope here however, especially that woman at the end. There's a fine line between what is and isn't considered hate speech.

Depends on what the issue is really. In some cases, women have it harder, while in others I'd say men had it harder. It's better to be a man in the world as a whole than it is to be a woman in my view, but in the western world, especially countries like sweden, i think women hold a slightly stronger hand overall

I'm so sorry to all the women here having to put up with all this rubbish. I'm a guy and I don't go around talking about how women have it easier, because judging by the factual and statistical evidence, it is simply not true. I personally think the schooling system is not moving towards being biased towards girls, it's quite the contrary. Fostering the idea that "boys will be boys" causes boys to think they can get away with anything, whether it is simple mischief or violence. This has a very negative effect on the way men view the world and the way women are treated. The world is becoming more equal and accepting every day. Don't slow this process by making problems where there are none.

I think there are definitely some truths in this article, but I feel the first video was a big bogus... It's true that there are problems with the school systems, but these do not simply effect men. There are plenty of women who also need physical stimulation to learn and who enjoy fiction stories over shakespeare (such as myself). I had it very difficult in school too... So although I see where the information is coming from, I feel the points were a bit weak... The last video was my favourite one.
