There is this awkward tension between us...?

There is this guy, confident a la "I am the man" type - and he began to get really forgetful/nervous around me and I can just feel this awkward tension between us. I do like him but I am really good at hiding that away from him - so I don't think he got like that because of that.
I feel like there is something wrong with me because everyone can talk to me, and he can talk to everyone. But he gets so weird with me, and it happened just over 2 days after we talked that he started this awkwardness

This guy probably has a crush on you. When a man tries hard to suppress his feelings around a girl either because you're already taken or he has a girlfriend or maybe just doesn't feel it's right to have those feelings, he will seem serious. Expressionless as some would say, just the natural state of a man. And it can come off as rough and emotionless.

I'm sure he's just nervous too. Ask yourself this, has he ever stumbled over his words ever talking to you? If it happens every once in a while that's a sign he's crushing on you.

That's pretty much how i am when I'm crushing over a stunning girl. :p
I mind basically does anything and everything that might cause the girl to not like me:(

Yeah, I have had that happen to me. Where you are with this person you really like and then at some point something changes, and they start acting different and it feels awkward as hell.

Honestly when that starts to happen, you got two choices. 1. you can try to work it out with him. or 2. you can start to distance yourself from the impending break up.

Here is the catch though. If you really want to work it out with him then you have to be open to the possibility that what you discover, you may not like. So, you have to be willing to break if off, because on some level this really bothering you for a reason, and those reasons are reasons for a reason... so you have to be open to the idea that maybe this isn't going to work out.

From personal experience, once I start down this road with a person, it's like subconscious to me that there is a chance this isn't going to work out. Because bottom line I do not like how this person is acting and more importantly I do not like how it makes me feel. Once you acknowledge that fact to yourself, you're already halfway to a breakup. It like having one foot out the door, but you are giving it one last chance.

In the past when I have tried really hard to work it out, I end up discovering they truly are not the person I thought they were. And the awkwardness I felt was a sign of that.
