Why did he turn his head away when he saw me coming?

Why did he turn away his head as soon as he saw me walking towards his direction?
There's this guy who knew I had a crush on him a while back, but right now he should have no idea whether I still like him or not. I was walking and I saw him from a distance minding his own buisness but he was not aware that I saw him. Anyway, at this moment I looked away to not make it seem like I've been staring all along and to not make it akward. I kept walking towards his direction since I was headed there. From the corner of my eyes I caught that heaid eyes on me and he quickly turned his head to face another direction to make it seem he hadn't seen me. So as I turn to look at him I see him making believe as if I wasn't there and walking a bit towards the direction he face, him giving me his, back. I KNOW is because he saw me though! Why would he do this?

I really think he liked you. Trust me, as a guy, I have done the same thing. Short story.. basically there was a girl who worked as a receptionist in a university building. I was a custodian, so I saw her around the halls quite a bit. She always smiled and looked at me when she saw me, and and eventually I developed a crush on her. She continually made me nervous, and I would always act really awkwardly when she was near me. When she would smile at me, I would sort of half smile and turn away. There was one instance where she was heading down the hall, and I turned to my right and saw her, but instantly turned away because I guess I just didn’t want her think I was staring or something. She was probably thinking what is wrong with this dude? Haha, but I’d say if you still see him around, just start with a casual hello and get him comfortable. I am normally not shy, but this girl was beautiful, and seemed really sweet, and I didn’t want to goof something up, so I never approached her. Sometimes guys need a bigger push :)

i do this all the time its called extreme shyness, and maybe he's depressed cause no girl has ever liked him, so he's thinking "no girl like her will ever want me" so he's ashamed and embarrassed of himself and just can't look at a girl or let her notice him looking, and guys know girls dont like being stared at especially guys who know he's ugly etc, and girls find it creepy etc guys dont like causing that, and most of all - guys like that will never approach a girl they wait for the girl to make all the first moves thats just how it is

there is this guy i liked from high school, i think he liked me back because he kissed me and wanted to have sex with me but the girl where we visited refused to lend us her room. lol. but after that incident, it was rumoured that we had sex which we never did. anyway, i was sitting alone in the corner of my room in the cafeteria when the guy who kssed me along with his friend did a monologue which noted that they didn't want to be with a girl like me, they did it just to discourage me but it worked and i still like him. every time he sees me, he turn his head or walk somewhere else. why is that?

Well, he isn't interested in you that's for sure. Plus, he really wasn't up for too much conversation so he acted as if he didn't see you even though he did. Also, who knows, he might want you to come to him first to initiate small talk, rather you see him seeing you first, then he would feel forced to speak to you first and begin small talk. There are a variety of reasons why he did this only he knows. I wouldn't worry to much about it.

He does that because he likes you, and he doesn't want to make a fool out of himself while staring at you, he is shy, so he acted like he didn't recognize you, and kept walking, some guys do that, but, really they make a bigger fool doing what he did, instead of saying hi, or how are you, but, yup, HE LIKES YOU!!! Congrats!! :-)

Happened to me more than a few times, ugh I'm so over it. If they don't wanna be bothered then I can respect that and I'll stop trying to say hello or make eye contact and smile.

You can try confronting but most likely he'll deny it and say that he just didn't see you .

Maybe because he likes you and didn't wanna end up staring or having a goofy grin on his face, so he turned the opposite direction.

i'm this type of a guy, he didn't face you because he is shy and depressed and maybe you put him down by talking with other guy before and he thinks that he doesn't deserve you because you are at a higher level than him or something like that...
