We lock eyes Every time we see each other! What's going?

The guy i know since couples of years stares at me a lot since first time we met. we dont talk much but i do catch him staring at me or making eye contact.
every time we happen to see each other, even without talking we lock eyes and take our eyes off! I can't explaine this, i dont feel infatuation or sexual desire. I jusy know that when we lock eyes we're unable to stop. I know it happens to him too, after this everything gets awkward between us.
why is thi happening for so long? Why our eyes meet and lock every time?

I have no clue but this happens to me 2!!! And he's a class under me so its kinda odd but like same situation weve known each other for a while and he use to like say hi to me all the time and is a major flirt but I think he might have a girlfeiend... we Like lock us at least 3 times a day during Spanish... its crazy

I have this with the girl I like its called underlying sexual tension you may not realize it but you're attracted to him and him to you. Its a connection between you two without saying a word or thinking anything. It means there is potential and a plethora of other things but you get the gist

But if consiously i can't say i like him how is it posible on subconcious level, i dont get this.

Does anyone ever really understand their feelings or why they feel what they feel. It doesn't have to be in your conscious mind, on a base subconscious level their is a spark of attraction the thought has crossed your mind. Now its totally up to you whether you pursue this to see where it goes
