Do men like mascara?

Do guys like seeing what mascara looks like on girl's eyelashes? Other than the length, but the black coat of goo dried up on the eyelashes?

I personally, as a girl, like the way it makes my eyes look. But I know my friend doesn't seem to know what to think of it. I wear no makeup mostly to school (I have rlly thick natural lashes so I don't need mascara too much) and he really likes that and tells me constantly 😂. One day I showed up wearing mascara, and I, personally, can barely tell the difference except my lashes are a little longer. He noticed IMMEDIATELY. And he's like "wait. Are you wearing makeup?" And I said I had some mascara on. And he said it can really change how someone looks (especially if they have lighter lashes and coat them in dark brown/black), and I do have to agree with that part.

I guess what I'm overall saying is:
I think boys probably just don't like girls hiding behind mascara all the time. I don't think they care if we wear makeup sometimes, but they don't want it all the time because they want to be able to know us without the glam. And even if we may not look drop dead gorgeous without makeup, I've found that they are more likely to compliment you because (though they can see the flaws you have) they can see that you are truly just a beautiful person in general :). Plus, when you put on makeup every once in a blue moon instead of all the time, boys find it shocking just how great you can look and it's a cool feeling. Just my thoughts tho, I may be dead wrong

that application of mascara is horrible=/ it shouldn't look that obvious. i personally aim for my makeup to look as though I'm wearing none. i think mascara should look something like this:

Exactly what I was thinking @JustbanANNAz. I was looking at the first pics like this is for girls who WANT that chunky/spider look. And to the asker of the question in order to have it look like the pic ANNA posted I've found mascara wands where the end looks simlar to a comb and the bristles are really separated works to separate your lashes and have minimal clumping. Mascara wands that look more like brushes than combs usually give you that clump/spider affect.

yeah so i put it on by firstly buying a product with great bristles that give me that sexy length I'm after. then i use a lash comb to get the lashes nice and spread out so it looks FLAWLESS :P

It depends on proximity for me. If I'm at least a couple feet away, then mascara makes her eyes pop, which is quite nice, but when I get within smooching distance, her lashes look like spider legs, which is not quite nice. So, I would say wear mascara when you're single, but stop once you've got a man smooching on you, but the man who is smooching on you might feel differently, so meh (shrugs).

I remember when girls in high school wore makeup looking no different after. I believe wearing makeup causes wrinkles later on in life. At any rate, I don't like women wearing masks.

I don't know about mascara, but I know that makeup in general causes wrinkles. Just look at old men vs old women. Men always have smoother younger looking skin.

Anyways, I don't see how men can like makeup on women, I mean what are you hiding? You could fall on your face into a pit of mud and I would still think the girl I was attracted was beautiful.

@sean1234 women wear make up because society and media puts up ridiculous beauty standards. We should have long eyelashes, big eyes, full lips, smooth skin, nice eyebrows etc. And most people can only get that with make up. Also you guys depand that. Just like you, saying girls should have smooth skin. Some people dont. They might have acne. You say you think any girl is beautiful without make up, yet you complain about wrinkles and saying guys have smoother younger looking skin.

@dihydrogenmon... well you thought wrong. I have used mascara for 5 years and my eyelashes are still there. Eyelashes fall, they grow back. Remove mascara gently and you should be fine. Its the fake ladhes and extentions that really damage your eyelashes

lol, 5 years isn't long enough, try 50 years. It's just unhealthy to keep coating your eyelashes with mascara. Like how it's unhealthy to dye your hair all the time. It's still a mix of a chemical compound with black dye in it sitting on your eyelashes for at least 3 hours almost everyday

Like I said. Eyelashes grow back. They grow back like hair does. Keep your body nutrified, drink water, eat vitamins and your hair and eyelashes keep growing strong. But lets just agree we disagree

As far as Im concerned, I have seen old women with haur eyeborows abd eyelashes. I guess they still keep growing back at old age.

Yeah asker, wearing makeup is a late 20th century think. Women here and there wore makeup in the past hundreds if not thousands of years, but not everyone. It seems only rich people/royalty did stuff like that.
