He whispers about me to his friends, what does it mean?

I know this guy through mutual friends, and I have noticed that he sometimes talks about me to his friends (especially if it is a friend I hadn't met before). I notice he talks about me because he will look at me for a while, then say something to his friend and then they both look my way, and he is sort of smiling. Is this a good or a bad sign? He has flirted with me a bit before but lately seemed more distant or uncomfortable around me..

If he is talking about you to his friends, it's a good sign for you, in that he wants his friends to hear about you, he is excited bringing up the topic and saying "yo bro, so this girl i met.." blabla, you should be happy that he has brought up your name. Hope you and him talk more and get the ball rolling

ok thanks! I am not sure if he really talks about me, I just noticed he seems to say things about me when I am together with him and his/our friends. I hope he says something nice but part of me is scared he says something like 'she is so stupid', or whatever :p. I couldn't hear what he was saying. Though he did look happy when saying it.
