Very confused about this guy. He thinks I'm mad at him when he's the one who doesn't answer my texts?

SORRY THIS IS LONG.
I introduced my crush to my best friend this weekend, we were just hanging out together. He was very friendly with the both of us. He asked for her FB, added her and later that night asked for her number, and they texted each other. She told me she doesn't like him and would never do anything with him since she knows he's my crush, and I believe that.

Anyways, they've been texting for a few days now and he said he wanted to take her out somewhere. She says she's not going if I'm not coming too, but it's pretty obvious that he wants to be alone with her since he didn't text me too, right? In fact, I texted him twice since Saturday and he replied in short answers making me think he doesn't want to talk. (I said he should bring me to this place that he had mentioned before and he just said "I will" and that's it, the convo was just dead.)
But he sends her good morning texts and all that stuff... I just stopped texting him because I really don't want to appear clingy and annoying since it seems I'm mostly the one to initiate the conversation with him.

So based on that, it seems that he's really just not that interested in me, right? I thought so, but today he asked my friend if I was angry at him because I haven't said anything to him lately. Seriously? He's the one who didn't say much to me and he didn't reply to my last text. Maybe he didn't know what to say anymore but still...

So I texted him again, asking him why he thinks I'm mad, to which he just replied "idk". I pushed the question again and he said it just felt like it, I asked him if I did anything to make him think that and he said that "sometimes you just get feelings". So I said "yeah, like sometimes I get the feeling I'm annoying you" because I'm always the one who texts him.

AND HE DID NOT REPLY ANYMORE. He continued talking to my friend though. What should I get from this, what do I do? He could've at least told me I annoyed him instead of leaving me hanging like this!

Guy's not into you. He likes the other girl more and sounds like she's keeping stuff from behind your back. If order to keep a friendship I would find someone else to crush on (which I know is hard).

Here's my take from a guy's perspective: He thought you guys were platonic friends and didn't pick up on your signals. All he knows (we're guys and dense) is that you introduced him to another pretty woman. He probably has no idea you crush on him and (unfortunately) even if he did, maybe he liked your friend.

Unfortunately there's no way to know what goes on in the simple male mind. I would stay away from their relationship and don't take it too personal. Best case is another guy comes along who's better and the two of you connect. Then the original two break up leaving you with a really good guy. Who knows, then the two of them catch fire and go down in a blazing ball of flames.

Maybe not the last sentence but you get the idea.

Yeah, I'm sorry hun but it sounds like he's into your friend more than he's into you :(

If you always have to initiate conversation, he only responds with few words, and seems to like talking to your friend more, that means he probably only sees you as a friend. That could be why he asked if you were mad, maybe he knows you have feelings for him and he assumed that you would be mad since he seems to be paying more attention to your best friend.

Honestly, I think you should just try to get over him. You can still be friends but it sounds like you really like him so you're only going to end up getting hurt in the end. You should probably just back off some and give him space. If he wants to talk, he'll message you. But at this point, it seems like he's only interested in talking to your friend which, I can understand would be hurtful for you. So, I would advise you to distance yourself from this situation.
