Can two good looking people of the opposite sex be just friends?

Can a man really be just friends with a good looking girl. If so, what is he expecting to get out of the friendship, if she doesn't like fishing cars sports etc...

No, not in general. Not from the male side unfortunately. I think most men hope to have sex with their female 'friend' and when the chance is not there they dump that so called 'friend' and act all butthurt and complain about being friendzoned. Sham friendships are those. Deceivers. Been there, done that and never again. All my male friends are gay men.

I can be a platonic friend, easily. I'm not sexually attracted to all good looking people. Even the most gorgeous person can be meh to me if he/she doesn't have sex appeal.

First thing is definitely a 'good-looking' guy and girl can be friends. Second thing is you dont be friends to get something out of it! I would call that a contract instead (dont mind my words) but friendship is always done so that you can get social and have good connections & know people. I've so many girls in my life who are good looking and (im good looking too, not appraising myself) we are friends. Sometimes looks are not the only thing that matter! :) hope I've answered it.

All i know is that when a guy befriends an attractive woman, its not simply to become and remain friends with them. I read somewhere that women find it eaiser to be friends with a guy and nothing more but its not like that when it comes to guys

I find with guy and girl friendship that sooner or later one or both people starting developing feelings for each other and while one may well be able to suppress those feelings, usually one of them will self com-bust and things become somewhat awkward.

I'm speaking from past experience and from what I have seen with my other friends. So I would say it will rarely work out.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I can be 'just friends' with a beautiful woman. On the university campus where I spend the greater part of my life I am the surrogate father/tutor/counsellor/sounding board for several lovely young females. They are all young enough to be my daughters. I appreciate the aesthetic when I look at them, but I know that nothing is going to happen.

I think yes you can be just friends however the female should know that her male friend has probably at some point thought about sex with her, maybe even fantasized about it, if he hasn't he's most probably gay
