one of my friends one time said, that his father doesn't call his mother with her name, neither he says anything such as you are beautiful or pretty or etc.
so, first that this behaviour exist in some men. second is that your boyfriend does consider you attractive and compliment you by saying 'he says he has erotic dreams about you'. this is a compliment.
but as for calling you directly beautiful or pretty, he may have a problem in expressing feelings also complimenting directly with words. he may find it not very appealing and also may think that he may sound dishonest. because words have always flaw and if someone doesn't know how to use them. he may fear using them.
If he is expressing enough attraction and feelings to you indirectly by actions that is nearly enough. but if you want to open his mind so he can tell more, you can start first. call him with the words you want to hear from him. call him and want words in return. you can also tell him directly about it. he may want to hear it from you and make sure that he does not sound the way he thinks he sounds, and that you like his words too.
in the whole all men are as vocal as each other. some find less appeal in words and more appeal in moves and actions.
Guys don't say a lot of things verbally. They assume that you understand by their actions. I dated a guy who never said I love you when I asked him he said he thought I new. He just assumed that his actions where enough and that he didn't have to say it (he cantu ally started saying it). If you bring it up he'll probably start to realize he's never said it (he probs thinks it but doesn't say it)
I used to get the same thing, never said the word Beautiful. I don't know why haha. maybe he felt it too clichéd or felt uncomfortable to say it. he doesn't use the word "sexy" either... he'll occasionally say you look pretty" or "you look nice" . guys are strange :/
A lot of guys get told that chicks love assholes, and giving them compliments just makes them too confident to stay with you. So it could be that. Or maybe he doesn't know how to say it and hasn't ever really seen other people do that enough to think it's expected or normal. It's okay to ask him what he thinks about how you look, and it's okay to tell him that you need some reassuring now and then. If he cares about you, he wants to know your needs, so fill him in.
Its normal. Some guys do, and some guys dont call their gf's beautiful, pretty, babe (bae?),,. As for me, I did call my ex gf with those words everyday... but now I am...

Maybe it goes with out saying? Obviously finds you attractive !! Some guys just don't say them words
maybe he thinks you are ugly, but he can't get into a hot girls panties so he settle for you. or maybe he wants to keep you on your toes, so you dont get too confident therefore lazy in relationship
Girls like guys who don't give them what they want. It's supposedly "more attractive" because they're used to it. Why that is, I don't know
