We've been daring for like... 4 1/2 months, he's very affectionate, and he is very obviously attracted to me if you catch my drift, but yet he has never told me I'm pretty, or beautiful.. or anything along those lines.
The closest he's come is when I ask him how I look in an outfit and he responds with something along the lines of "I like it, I really like it" or if I send him a picture I get back a 😊...
Are some guys just not aware they need to spell it out to us girls sometimes?
Like... a girls gotta hear those words out of your mouth lads.

I can give you the right answer. I have a friend exactly like that, he loves his girlfriend and he tells me all the time how lucky he is for having such a beautiful and smart girlfriend, but he never says that to her. I asked him why and he told me that he is afraid that she may think highly of herself and dump him later lol He said to me that I don't want to increase her confidence a lot because she may find other guys better then me and dump me later on

However, I can understand why you want to hear it. You may just have to ask him next time you are dressed up or whenever.

There are some guys who are not into words of affirmation. For him, his love language is doing things for you and being loyal. Actions speak louder than their words. That is his way of showing you he cares and love you. If he didn't think you were pretty, then why is he dating you for 4 1/2 months? He sounds like an ISTJ.

Because its settling, I've never understood why people do that. You don't get with or stay with someone for fear you won't find better, it should be because you're attracted to them in every way, a mind body and soul kind of thing.
